as much as i doubt his abilities, jury is still out on marotta, but it;s really not looking good for him
This Summer was much better, he made good moves and got the players on his terms.

Still if we get European football, will Marotta be able to bring the quality in that is needed. That is the true test for him. The squad he's assembled is good enough for top three. It's up to Conte to get us there.

how?

once again with words and expressions which mean absolutely nothing, whats 'truly were", what truly was is we made CL 3 out 4 years with secco. Marotta is blanking so far. This is the only truly was we can talk about here, all the rest is up to interpretation and as so cant be considered fact.
"Truly were" means a lot, actually, because we're discussing if it's a fact that Secco "achieved" CL. I'm not disputing the fact that Secco was GM in those years and that we happened to reach CL when he was hired by the club in that position. Why would I deny that? I know that he was employed...

My point is that you could've put ANYONE in Secco's place and they would've still gotten you CL with that team.

I will keep lashing out at any form of praise that is sent Secco's way, because he doesn't deserve any. He damaged the club severely, and we're still cleaning up after his mess. How's that for a fact?

Branca brought in Maicon (a nobody at the time), Sneijder (a left-for-dead Real reject), Milito, Eto'o (in the rape of Barcelona) and so forth. Granted, plenty of flops, too. But that success alone tops anything Marotta can even dream of.
I'd give him credit for Maicon.

Sneijder was Mourinho's command and Barcelona practically gave Eto'o to Inter.

Marotta's decision not to buy as a decent LB thus resulting into the Zeglier fiasco,is already costing us.

The most disgusting part of this, is that the reasons was nationalism and the lack of decent Italian cheap options for this position, that is haunting since Secco sold Zambro and Balzaretti...

Yep, we signed ziegler because he was italian and sold him because he was too good so we needed a mediocre italian. Conte of course, disapproved, which is why he started ziegler in every preseason game...
