When I said sign a winger and CB I didn't mean just anyone. I am sceptical about Elia; I believe he will be the winger, so I would love someone like Alex. But I doubt that will happen, Chelsea are in need for a good backup keeper though perhaps Storari and cash may be the way to go?

You're overlooking that Marotta has failed so far to get us a new CB and LW of any class and that he has failed to sell a huge list of players. He also undersold Melo and Giovinco and surrendered important funds in those areas. He has definitely improved our squad but failed in many important areas which are crucial to the completion of the squad and the finances of the club. Marotta promised lower medium wages and a lower medium age of the squad and gets Pirlo on a lucrative contract. Giacherini and whats his name aren't good signings at all we have no need for another striker whatsoever. What is Marotta doing about our left wing and center back positions? It looks like we might not even sign a left wing now and that Bonucci may stay as well.
I did not overlook the need to sell certain players...when you suggest that 'we have no need for another striker whatsoever' anything else you add is dead on the vine, Nenna...for you are basically saying that you feel a front line of a near 37 year old DP, decent Matri, more often useless/unavaliable than available Iaquinta, absolutely awful ( at juve) Amauri, a quagiarella recovering from a very serious injury who will surely take months to regain confidence and form, and Luca Toni, is a solid front line! If you sincerely feel such a collection of forwards it enough for us to progress, then i disagree completely.

because in your logic, we have one striker, who is healthy, of a good age, and capable (Matri). And that means, by your reckoning, that our forward line needs no improvement?

The bad outweighs the good. He signed these CM players when the CM role wasn't even the major problem spot of the squad. The entire defense had a sign across it proclaiming, "FIX ME, FIX ME", along with the left-wing role. Now we have yet another manager in place who is addicted to the 4-4-2 and we still don't have a good option for the left flank. No improvements at the left-back spot. Players who could be useful most likely going on loan. No promised class players.

What the fuck else do you lot need? I'm not giving him another chance, I'm not waiting until the mercato is over, I'm not putting up with any shit and sticking to my original guns that haven't fired incorrectly yet. The guy is a fucking clown, we based our future off of one season with Sampdoria, and we currently have to pay the piper because we are fucking idiots.
I hate the true fans of this club who slurp up as much sticky material as they can.
despite your obvious tendency to big yourself up with a pack of morons, you do, often, appear to have a solid understanding of football and Juven matters, Andy. I wish you would concentrate more on that side of your online expressions, as I truly enjoy finding conflicting, intelligent opinions of the club i love most ( sorry Gills!).

I feel it was Conte who wanted rid of Melo. As he demands TEAM PLAYERS. Conte's 4-4-2 is very clearly different to both Ranieri's and Del Neri's 4-4-2....so your point is mute, as we are very obviously adopting, or trying to adopt, a very different system, from back to front. You suggest no improvement at left back...Zeigler is not world class, but he was free, and he is a competent defender, and a useful attacking wingback. Lets let him and de ceglie battle it out. YES, I would have preferred better, such as Taiwo...but look at our present situation, look at the best LBs in circulation, and look where they have gone. to better teams, with better prospects, for more money.

Rather than more silliness, I would appreciate you of all people on here, giving your serious view on what formation will suit us best, and where you think we will end up this season.

Cheers,

So by your logic, its necessary to have four players for each striker position? Del Piero, Matri, Vucinic, Quagliarella and Toni is an appropriate group and number of strikers to have. How many wingers do we have? Krasic, Pepe, Esti (who?) and that's it. So we have three players for our two wing positions and you're bitching about the need for more strikers. To add, we have similar issues at CB which Marotta is again failing to resolve.
