Just scour through the pages and you'll find them scattered throughout. Those apologists saying that its not Marotta's fault that Matri misses sitters or that our defense can't execute an offsides trap or Marotta doesn't have the funds available to sign top rank players.

And then you have the supporters who believe with all their hearts that Marotta is better than Secco (why they prefer to compare shit to shit baffles me) and that Marotta shows hints of Moggi.

If we don't get Aguero and end up signing Vucinic or something like that, this will be another failure. I'm pretty sure Ziegler will fail, Bastos doesn't even fit the type of winger Conte wants, Pirlo isn't really a 4-4-2 player, also he's old. Pazienza is whatever.. Licht will be the only good signing if we miss out on Aguero. We need more quality players because we shouldn't forget that we have a squad that have placed in 7th fuckin' place two seasons in a row. Something is seriously rotten in this team. But I don't see him getting us 3 new quality players. If he could get us like Aguero, Diarra, Vucinic and a smart cheap signing like for example Seydou Keita for a 4-3-3 would be much better.

Buffon

Licht - Bonucci - Chiellini - De Ceglie

Diarra - Pirlo
Keita

Krasic - Aguero - Vucinic

There you go, now we have a good quality foundation that we could build upon by signing one good player every season in the future. Keita gets old? Make one good offensive mid signing next season. Its really important for us that we have 3 or 4 players that will be considered quality players for years to come so we don't have to replace them every year. If we sign Bastos for example, it will just be a matter of time before we wish we had a better winger. With Aguero, Krasic, Vucinic and Diarra, we have 4 good players that we count on for years and we could start concentrating on the other parts in the future.

Ture, comparing shit with shit is utter shit....but at least secco had balls.

Sadly its true that most of the fans and almost all the players/management have forgot what juve is all about :groan:

You dont overpay for 'good players' but rather great players. Quag and Matri are not great players. Amauri did well for us too in his first 6 months too. There is a reason these 27 and 29 year olds never played at a big club and were never on a radar of a big club

So, where are those people who said not to worry about Motta and Pepe, they wouldn't be signed? Or the folks who said we won't sign the majority of the option players?

We were always going to sign them. Did you purposely mislead people or were just not properly translating Italian forum posts?
