Well a value is subjective and susceptable to fluctuation based on a player's stock, club and league isn't it? Secco thought he was worth €25m after a good couple of seasons, Marotta thought he was worth €15m after a below average one. Martinez came off the back of a good season and from an expensive league. It doesn't mean that the players need to be of a similar level.
Marotta screwed up, that's the bottom line.

Saying Secco is worse doesn't justify it though.

the guy lacks everything a proper SD need. If it wasn't for Krasic's desire to join us and ditch every other club, we would have wasted that chance to sign him by waiting too long. Didnt want a free Cassano, ignored our fullback need, came up with Motta?

Marotta wont be the person to bring back Juve to their old gorious days, we might make it to a cl-spot in the coming four seasons but that's about it.

I didn't say it justified it, although Secco's 'ambition' does always make me smile.

Maybe we'll see the 'ambition' of Marotta this summer, his Diego, Melo and Amauri. We've already seen his Almiron, Tiago and Andrade.

Secco had money and the lure of Champions League yet still ass fucked us. Marotta is clearing up the mistakes made by Secco & Co.

This Summer is a pivotal one for Marotta and will tell us what his ambitions are.
