Very tough mercato for this guy. Has to replace Licht, Asamoah, possibly Mandzukic and Alex Sandro, and find a good backup goalkeeper. Also needs to strengthen the midfield all with less CL money and probably even less for next season. That's a tall order really.
He'll scrape something together. At the start of August you guys will all be pissed, but this time next year it will be all hail Beppe.

Marotta basically reiterated our policy that if someone wants to leave we will try to satisfy them, but at the moment no one is asking to leave.

This is going to be one of the busiest markets we have had on record in our current run IMO. Crazy the momentum at the moment.

'Juventus want Perin, Darmian’
By Football Italia staff

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta confirms interest in Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian and Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

The former has been frozen out at Old Trafford, while Perin would arrive to provide competition for Wojciech Szczesny after Gianluigi Buffon’s departure.

“We’ve talked a lot about Perin and Darmian,” Marotta admitted this afternoon, after attending a book launch.

“We can say that Buffon’s natural heir is Szczesny, we made a choice last year and we’re very happy with that choice.

“As I’ve always said though, being a great club like Juventus that participates in several competitions means having two top goalkeepers.

“So I won’t hide that we’ll go in search of a high calibre goalkeeper.

“Perin is a high calibre goalkeeper, but there’s a long way between where we are now, starting a negotiation, and defining the relationship.

“Darmian could fit in terms of those opportunities, players and profiles we’re looking for.

“He’s also an Italian player and we always think that the hardcore of a squad like Juventus should be represented by players who can also wear the Azzurri shirt.

“Italians have more ability and speed in terms of understanding our environment, so I can’t hide that Darmian is a player who interests us.”

If you believe him, yeah. Not sure I agree about the small adjustments when you have some legends to replace which we have new players coming.

Attack won't change it seems. Midfield is another story.

Beppe made similar statements a few years ago and then sold Vidal in the middle of the transfer season

I still expect a key player to be sold. Would be a surprise and a relief if we dint
