We certainly didn't make Milán mistake. We didn't allow a 3 time ucl final teams got old and 4 years later struggle big time.... We kill a ucl final Team and struggle the very next year, thank god we are not Milán...

Btw Milán biggest mistake was a lots of bad desicions: ibra+silva for peanuts. Ronaldinho saviour, pirlo's blame, seedorf coach, inzaghi coach, daugther's berlusconi, stubborn idea italian strikers (matri, ballotelli, panzini...)... Toó many mistakes

Yes because I wasn't banned for insulting the BOD.

But I guess we have to bitch 24/7 and predict doom as a way to show that we aren't satified with recent results.

No one is asking you to bitch/moan/complain, but let others do it if they so desire. If our suspect summer dealings and worst ever Serie A start aren't causes for concern, then what is in your humble opinion? :boh:

Btw, I never use 12 emoticons in a row. That is overkill :D

But shouldn't you also let others to praise :beppe: (no one is BTW) if they want to without calling them apologists?

Kidding aside, of course our form is concerning but I am willing to give it another couple of weeks before calling it a crisis.

“Patience is one thing, but we mustn’t turn it into an alibi,” director general Marotta told Rai Sport.
“Our culture does not stand for alibis and we must take part in every competition with the objective of victory.
I didn’t expect the season to start with so many difficulties, but I knew it would be tricky because this is a new team with new tactics.”
Max Allegri wrote on Twitter last night after the Chievo game that “to swim we must learn to keep our heads below water.”
Marotta was asked what he would say to the Coach after this stuttering start.
“I advise Allegri to not think about the success of the past. We will play Manchester City to win, as we always do. It’s Allegri’s job to make the team understand the Champions League has different requirements to Serie A.”

Last time we sold an important player(Zidane), we got so much better. This time, we got worse.

It all depends on what expectations you have. For me, we just came off the CL final. My expectations are through the roof.

We got nedeved and Buffon who were proven in serie A and at an age they could immediately step in and make the difference. This time we got unproven infants mostly...
And of course we overpaid for them and selled of our champions, thats the difference there...

Whether it's Paratici or him in regards to judging talents, no worries there, but just don't turn this team into an Arsenal pls.

Big difference between us and Milan is, we've spent over 130 mil euros this summer.

Milan didn't spent this kind of money for the past decade (perhaps even much longer). They were struggling financially so at least there was a reason for them to drop in quality (when you sell your best players and can't afford to spend big then it's logical you'll struggle).

In our case, there is 0 excuse from Marotta this time around. I've followed this club for about 20 years now and this is the biggest spending summer I've ever seen for Juve.

2001 was much much more taking into account inflation.

And we did sell a lot as well, talking about absolute spending is BS and doesn't make sense, complain about the 60 million net spend if anything (Milan had a much higher one btw, althought they did spend rather little the mercatos before that - due to very poor financial planning prior).

We actually "only" spent 60 million euro in net spent, to be fair. The thing is, many of those were unnecessary purchases. Mandzukic, Zaza and Hernanes are expenses that total 48 million euro and either don't elevate the level of the team or are completely useless. We simply did not replace the superstars that left with superstars or even potential ones, other than Tevez with Dybala.

How our brilliant Sporting Director let that happen, I don't know. No plan to it, it's stupid.

What's wrong with these statements? He said he thought the start would be difficult, but not this difficult. And I think pretty much everyone in here said the same.

Those who defended him and apparently he himself are surprised of the outcome of his summer disaster. In fact many members here said that we will have that much difficulties.

nothing wrong with the statements.

the squad is so wrong, though. we had a world class midfield and tevez 3 months ago, and now we have a midfield with 3 injured players, a kid who can't handle the pressure, an old brazilian from inter's bench and some talented, unproven guys.
