You're kidding right? You list 14 players. Reus isn't a CF, never has been, never will be. Scores nowhere near the number of goals Mandzukic does. So 13 now. Van Persie is half the player Mandzukic is now. 3 years ago that's different but he scored 10 goals last year. So 12 now. Falcao was better 3 years ago too, but has scored 17 goals combined in his last two years. So 11 better now. Higuain has scored 71 goals in 146 matches which is worse than 68 in 131 by Mandzukic as far as goals to appearances. But I'd say the two are of similar quality, just outside the top 10 CFs in the game. In this spots 10-15

Easily top players. Just not world class. You really have no leg to stand on in this argument.

Aside from this, you do this every transfer window. You $#@! on the players we buy and freak out about those we sell and not getting enough for them and every year you are proven wrong and it's laughable. Just look at the nonsense you wrote about selling Immobile last summer and how it was a terrible mistake and we would regret it

You either need anti-depressants, or you're a giant troll.

Please name the CFs in a top 4 league that have scored more than the 68 goals of Mandzukic over the last 4 years. The list isn't very long.
I've been wrong about a few players just like everybody else has. But I'm not going to claim Mandzukic is a top ten forward when he obviously isn't. I never even said he wasn't a good player, I like him.

As a testament to how good a signing Mandzukic is for 18 mil, is that he is one of the most consistent forwards in Europe over the last 3 years.

The list of forwards with 20+ goals in each of the last 3 years in a top 4 league + PSG

Messi
Ronaldo
Zlatan
Suarez
Benzema
Costa
Lewandowski
Muller
Cavani
Mandzukic

Not a top player though. Seriously. Look at the names on that list. I guess Mandzukic is crap and doesn't belong
Let's hope we don't catch him at the bad end of his bell curve :D

Great posts today by the way. Pretty much what I'm thinking you just say it better :D

Would agree that he isn't a top 10 CF.

I think Morata will surpass him soon

Have to see how this season goes though.

he also took some massive dumps in really important games and other players like Morata, llorente, etc had to bail us out but lets keep forgetting those games and act like Tevez was a Juventus Legend in two seasons
Like every player do once in a while. He was not at the top of the world, but your efforts to belittle his contribution are ridiculous

I'm not belittling anything. We're making a martyr out of someone who walked away because he didn't want to be here anymore. All I'm saying is a lot of the big games he disappeared into the background. So let's not immortalize his two years here and look back with rosy glasses because we're changing up the squad

I dont know what u saw, but IMO his output in this 2 years was superb. Big games or not, he was there and gave his all in everygame...and he pulled a lot of goals out of nowhere. he is no messi and he didnt carried us in europe this season... but he was very good in the group phase. Morata took over in the last games but that doesnt mean tevez was not good.

I still think you are underestimating how much that guy ran and pressed for us.

Mark my words.. if allegri doesnt find a suitable system for the new players...we will feel his absence. Moe than Vidal´s

you will see.

Juventus is a hardworking team. Whenever Tevez went missing last season someone else would step in. From all over the pitch. We'll be fine. Mandzukic is an awesome, hardworking, quality CF. When Bayern spanked us in 2013 I was salivating at the thought of having him wear the Juve jersey. I still can't believe we've signed him.

Vidal was a disaster in the first half of the season and thats when Allegri really didn't have a vision and everything sorta came together once the formation changed. Vidal was pushed to AM because our current CM's were able to hold the fort down and shore up any loose ends. Now, whether anyone cares to acknowledge that or not I guess isn't the point. Vidal really gained steam at the end of the season, sure, I won't doubt that but before he started getting his feet back we were really doing well without him.

The Vidal of last season, the one that played at AM, will not be missed at all if we get a genuine CM. Now, the Vidal from last season prior to his knee injury is a different animal altogether. That's the Vidal I will miss.

As far as Mandzukic if he's the kind of hard working, pain in the ass player for the opposition everybody seems to rate him as (I've not personally seen much of his games) then he will do well here with us, especially with his goal record.

Chill everybody. How come the meltdown is happening around Mandzukic?

Him alone ?

It's the hard work of the top management (Andrea Agnelli) all the way to our reserve players all together. Marotta is just one part of that success.

But when it comes to buying or selling players its actually "his job" to do well there.
I was obviously referring to his job at the club. Of course there are other people involved. Beppe can't do it all by himself but he's the key person in the mercato.
