From "CR7 of Directors" to "Amauri of Directors" in one night , even we don't know reason why he sold Vidal, even last summer he refused bigger offer , this makes me think he asked to leave (And don't mention me fucking tatoo because that's mean nothing)
He had poor season, only last 2 months he was okay , I don't want Vidal gone, but if he asked to be sold he can fuck of for all I care .
I don't think it's as drastic as CR7 of Directors to Amauri of Directors. But it's certainly within our right to question certain moves, and I think the 'war' appear such because some people come out and defend shit blindly. Vidal being sold was 100% questionable. Yet we have people comi out and justifying that or saying it's going to be for the better, while ignoring the ramifications it is likely to have after a glorious season. That's really where this thing becomes Marrotta vs the world, when in reality it's not that, as much as it is about a particular market case where we look like we've been schooled. That only how it appears, I would reserve my judgment on this till we know more about the player/club story. And once the club reacts to this loss with a move on the market. It's then that we can measure the foresight of allowing this move.
Rugani is nothing compared to Chiellini at his best. It's not that easy. I like investing in the youth, but I'm just preparing for some rougher than usual times, playing devil's advocate. And nobody will be able to replace Pogba, Pirlo, Tevez, and Vidal.
Yea, it's quite evident that we were in transition, which is why we shouldn't have let certain pieces break out of the blue because there's enough already going on. This adds a bit of a tangent, though we can safely conclude that the teams aura in Europe and the Serrie a will be a lot different next season. We've gone from Continental class to prospective Continental Class, which means there aren't enough guarantees on this team, and we are going to be up against it if the newbies don't bring game.
Pirlo was allready replaced last season, untill Pogba got injured.
And without Pogba, we kinda got past Madrid
One off, Zach. You can't measure Pogba's absence in such an isoteric manner. Him And Vidal are a decisive players for most part, and their loss can only be felt over a certain duration of time, not a couple of weeks or a month.
See Dybala could turn out to be an amazing player, but I have my doubts we'll see the best of him straight away.
Whereas with Vidal, whilst he is (was) our best midfielder, we are pretty damn stacked in that department. And it wouldnt shock me if Marotta signs another CM to up the stocks anyway.
It's very hard for a young player to come and slot into one of the most visibly important positions on the pitch where contribution can be measured tangibly (i.e.goals and assists). While Dybala has the talent, we know that we shouldn't expect him to hit the ground running and he's going to need a little more nurturing than Morata for instance, a player that came from an even bigger club with a far greater frame of reference and pressure than Dybala has dealt with.
I agree we are still good on depth, but we should not discount that it's not the depth we've lost as much as ability. And mind you, losing a starter is always a far greater challenge in team dynamic than losing a bench player.
Götze thrives when you play direct football, and he can play trequartista, loosly between the midfield and forward(s).
Bayern had him play plenty of games, but on the side, in a tiki taki style team
Its why he grew frustrated there and his managed came out last week to say that "guardiola" is destroying gotze.
I think he may also be used wide by Allegri if he were to come here, and it may work, when required. I would rather use him out wide than Morata for instance.
