liverpool want him gone but they don't want to pay him out so they will wait until another club comes along, Rafa wont quit because he will lose money so they are stuck with each other
exactly, which is why the deal was never done.

it is why the deal was done, bother parties were happy with the deal, Rafa was coming here getting 4 Mil a season and bringing some of his staff, Liverpool didn't have to pay out Rafa and Liverpool would of got some cash from us

Some cash?
According to the rumours, Liverpool would have received millions from us (>10). If so, I'm happy the supposed deal fell through.

That was three years ago, have you watched him since? In a different position?
Not often I've gotta say, few times a season. But hey, the Totti incident is a thing that has stuck with me. But my main point is I like tough defenders, his presence just doesn't give me confidence. Perhaps I'd change my mind if I watched him more often.

This is from the interview with Tutosport but is a bad translation.

Marotta is equally certain that will not do any rudeness to his former company. "I wanted to take away the bare minimum, only one employee - precise -. And on the front players will not be made the least disruptive to create problems for Sampdoria. Samp will then make its assessment, is' right that is defended as we did. "

One employee from Samp?

Does this mean we are after one particular player from them?
