I hope people will realise - now that we have seen what is required for Juve to get the 'top player' - why it wasn't really practical in previous transfer windows and why many of us refused to criticise Marotta for not getting the 'top player'.
Juve need many things to fall into place for them (as things did for Milan with Balotelli, for instance) to be able to land a player of Tevez's stature and the moment that a genuinely good opportunity presented itself they made the move and made the signing.
Yep, this is true. I'm just so happy that whenever there's a great market opportunity, Marotta is there to pounce. Whether it's a young supertalent like Pogba for free, a world class freebie such as Pirlo, a diamond in the rough such as Vidal, an ultra-cheap Barzagli or a world class player on the last year of his contract like Tevez; The Great Man is always there, lurking around, ready to make the deal.
He has now shown that he's capable of making all kinds of deals, with the exception of those that are financially impossible to accomplish. RvP, Aguero and Higuain are all examples of players who wouldn't turn us down and who he came really close to signing, but who were simply out of our financial reach.
