The Giovanissimi’s magnificent run is showing no signs of coming to an end. Claudio Gabetta’s side kept up their fine streak of form by recording their sixteenth straight success courtesy of a 2-1 win over Genoa this afternoon. First half strikes from Sallustio and Cabella were enough to see off the Ligurian outfit, who netted a late consolation at the death.

The victory sees the Bianconeri overtake Torino and claim top spot, whilst also putting a seven point distance between themselves and third-placed Genoa.

However, there will be no rest for the Giovanissimi this weekend, despite the scheduled break in the championship, as the team has been invited to participate in the prestigious Manchester United Premier Cup to be played in Pescara.
