Atletico Mirafiori played host to the sixth edition of the ‘Memorial Alessio and Riccardo’ tournament this weekend, a friendly competition contested to honour the memories of Bianconeri youngsters Alessio Ferramosca and Riccardo Neri.
The traditional three teams from the Giovanissimi category were in action: Juventus, Atletico Mirafiori and Castelfiorentino. Bianconeri youth director Gianluca Pessotto joined the watching Ferramosca and Neri families in the stands.
Juventus emerged victorious from both encounters, beating the Tuscan outfit 5-0 (Pozzebon hat-trick, Koffi and Pellini) before Cabella’s strike sealed a win over Atletico.
It proved to be a useful run-out for Claudio Gabetta’s Giovanissimi ahead of their upcoming championship finals in Chianciano Terme.
