Of all the younger players possible for the back line, if barzagli is not going to partner bonucci, which would be mighty strange, then sorensen is the one who deserves the chance to play in his natural position...after attempting to do what is unnatural and expand his game to become a fullback/centreback...he seems to have mixed the wroles, rather than jumped into a sole fullback role, often bunches up with bonucci and chiellini to make a back three, but also, has shown at least a potential and moderate acceptance, of the need to support krasic and overlap...sometimes. the dane deserves the chance...and can't camilleri play right back as well as centrally????
as all seems lost for the season's aims, and the europa league is hardly something to scream about, although i would definitely prefer us to be in IT than fail to qualify, as it means the team are together much earlier in the summer than they would be if only serie A and the coppa were their competitions. ealriery start gives less rest, obviously, but with no world cup or euro championships, the players will all get enough rest, and the more time we have to actually gel as a team, the better...so why not give some playing time, in competitive matches, to our youngsters...giodonato can shadow aquilani???? sorensen in the middle...with camilleri also give a chance...and how about libertazzi???? and boniperti????
