Would be crap if Buffon decided to continue and had to sit half the season out
We've received 4 red cards against Madrid in the past 7 matches. The most justifiable was last night, the Buffon one, but that came on the back of rewarding an obscenely soft penalty in the 93rd minute. The ref expects our Captain is just going to react calmly to that?
The Dybala diving yellow and subsequent red in the first leg was absurd, especially considering Real Madrid were allowed to dive all over the pitch in both matches, especially yesterday.
The Cuadrado yellow in the final, while the match was likely already lost, down 3-1 in the 83rd minute, was another joke, considering it was a very obvious Sergio Ramos dive, which coincidentally if the dive was carded would have been his second yellow and sending off.
And the Chiellini straight red for this was the most laughable of all.
3 of the 4 red cards against Madrid have been complete rubbish. It's not a conspiracy. Just shit refereeing in favour of the big stars.
Of course Buffon, Chiellini, etc have every right to be pissed off.
And I remember us being the (much) better team than them in that game too, even with 10 men. Anything to help UEFA's little darlings.This shit has gone on for too long with those 2 Spanish clubs. Enough is enough.

Yea man, it's faking lame that the refs committee these days like to victimize themselves. If you made a poor decision, own up and understand that players will rage.
I find it dumb when sarcastically applauding the ref can get you a red card. If a footballer sarcastically applaud a player who dived, is that considered a red? NO.

Ex-Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn notes Gianluigi Buffon 'would’ve saved himself’ from two career low points 'if he’d retired earlier’.
Kahn made over 600 appearances for Bayern until his retirement in 2008, winning eight Bundesliga titles and a Champions League, and represented Germany 86 times, picking up a runners-up medal at the 2002 World Cup.
However, like Buffon, the 48-year-old faced mounting criticism to hang up his gloves towards the end of his career, ultimately doing so when he was 38.
“It’s not easy to accept when to stop,” he said of the Juventus veteran to Bild.
“If he’d retired earlier, he would’ve saved himself from the elimination against Sweden and later disappointment against Real Madrid, but he’s driven by the desire to keep setting records and the dream of winning the Champions League.
“I could’ve played for another 2-3 years, but for what? [Philipp] Lahm also made the perfect decision.
“If you can’t find the right time to stop yourself, it can become really painful. I’d suggest Buffon to quit.
“He was a world champion and the best goalkeeper in the world. Those things matter, not the red card against Real or the fact that he didn’t win the Champions League.”

Gianluigi Buffon reportedly risks being handed a domestic ban for his outbursts after Juventus’ defeat to Real Madrid.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Buffon could be facing a timed suspension if referee Michael Oliver was 'very harsh’ in his report and UEFA’s disciplinary panel decides to assess his criticism of the Englishman to the Press.
The goalkeeper is quoted as branding Oliver 'out of his depth, 'heartless’, an 'animal’ and with a 'rubbish bin’ for a heart after he was sent off for dissent during Juve’s last-gasp Champions League exit to Real Madrid, who were awarded an injury-time penalty on Wednesday.
However, it remains to be seen whether the 40-year-old will even serve a ban as he is being tipped to hang up his gloves at the end of the season.

Yeah, I wonder how many refs would want to work under conditions where their employer don't back them. Refs are already the "weakest link"; on the receiving end of a low status and low paid job, having their motives and integrity questioned all the tiem. Most 'tuzzers would crumble under a 10th of that pressure.

Funny how you're advocating for difference of opinion and at the same time all you do on tuz is attack the opinion of other posters and question their education, logic, sanity and mental health. 90% of your posts are aimed to make someone feel bad.
I don't think refs are underpaid, me personally I wouldn't mind a job that pays as much as a regular full-time job, but the hours are maybe 1/3rd or 1/4th.

They might be severely underpaid if you thought they should make as much as footballers or coaches, but why on earth should they?
