What annoyed me most was his persistence in starting the game with the the closest guy in defense in spite of Bayern's forwards heavy pressure. Resulted in too many lost balls and quite a few dangerous occasions on our goal.

Considering the way we played, as we never seemed prepared for this kind of game, I can't tell for sure how the game would have progressed if it wasn't for the first goal, which was partly Buffon's fault but it can be argued that the goal changed the whole game so you can also say that Buffon's fault made everything more difficult and complicated.

Not intentionally.

I don't blame him for the first goal at all. The second goal killed my hopes.

I agree, he only "saved" Robbens shot because Robben fired the ball directly into Buffon's shin.
