That was a perfect freekick. Unsaveable really.

Casillas allowed funny freekicks in. He cannot even set up the wall properly.

Nah, his position was fine.

Further across the goal would have left the other side exposed as it wouldn't have been covered by either keeper or wall.

Moving further across may also have meant the wall was blocking Buffon's view.
