Gigi Buffon tries again. The Bianconeri’s number one is still in the ten-nominee list for the Golden Foot award 2011. The list is rich, considering his rivals for the prize: Beckham, Casillas, Drogba, Eto'o, Giggs, Puyol, Raul, Xavi and Zanetti.
Buffon is the only Italian player who entered the lists, and he’ll try to take over from Francesco Totti who won in 2010 to leave his footprint on the “Champions Promenade”, a sort of “Walk of Fame” on the seafront of the Principality of Monaco. If voted, we’ll reach three Juventus’ champions who won in the past: Del Piero (2007), Nedved (2004) and Roberto Baggio (2003).
