Claims from Buffon's agent that two offers have been received for the Juventus number one have sent the rumour mills spinning wild.

One of the two clubs is from Italy, and another from outside, with majority of the speculation pointing towards Milan, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

"We have two offers, one from Italy and one from abroad," declared Silvano Martina, Buffon's representative.

"We have communicated that to Juventus; we have not negotiated.

"Both have told me that they are interested in Gigi, and are prepared to speak with Juventus."

The Gazzetta dello Sport believe the Italian club to be AC Milan, despite their recent guarantees over Dida. As for the foreign team, they name both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Turin based newspapers claim that it is indeed Madrid, despite having Iker Casillas on their rolls, but reports in Catalunya insist that Barcelona are the mystery club, having decided that it is time to demote Victor Valdes to number two.

However, Gazzetta also suggest that should Capello continue at the Bernabeu, he will encourage a move for the Azzurri number one, with Casillas going the other way along with some cash.

Meanwhile, Buffon met with Juventus yesterday, in what was the first meeting over his future.

Rumours are already rife. Stay tuned for more...:D

The only difference is the finances, now Milan afford to get Gigi, Zambrotta and a few other players. But on the other hand, Italian football has improved a lot after last night's game. Just wait and watch until the weekend and see how Juve will play, they will definitely be much better than last week.
About the finances, well milan didn't spend almost anything this year and Berlusconi was going to splash the cash on Ronaldinho. That wasn't going to be an issue imo, they have a lot of money.

Ohhhhh damn...now we have Barca and f...ing madrid in the game...
Dude I hear you but we all know it don't matter who is linked to/makes bids for him.
Buffon would walk straight into the gloves at any club in the world (except arguably Chelsea) despite what Berlusconi or anyone else says.

So it still is and has always been Gigi's choice to make - stay or go. We will just have to keep our fingers crossed and ride the storm 'til we get official word.

So we gotta be well prepared , the storm will last thought whole summer then , eh?
For sure be prepared! Started this time last year and doesn't look like stopping now so we should be used to it already..

Looking forward to them walking onto the pitch for 07/08 and finally, truly putting the uncertainty of the scandal in the past (remember when you looked for Juve news with anticipation rather than trepidation?)

Hopefully when that day arrives SuperGigi is inbetween those sticks for us..

buffon for casillas & cash?! hmmm
secco mite be tempted by this i think
I love the guy, but Casillas is younger, cheaper, and has the potential to be as good as Buffon. Plus, figure that extra cash could be the difference between Mesto and Xabi Alonso... and you gotta seriously consider it. The Zidane sale was extremely beneficial to Juve, and so could this.

Frankly I think if its true, Real must be out of their minds, and Juve should take advantage of this.

I'm just going to assume he will leave. That way it won't be as disappointing if it happens and I will be pleasantly surprised if Gig stays.

Wow, Casillas plus cash? That IS tempting...

Casillas is not at all a bad goalkeeper, he's got stunnig reflexes although nobody matches buffon's positioning.

If we're gonna lose Buffon, it might be this deal that is best...I hear Casillas is pretty popular among the gals

i don't think Casillas is keen in playin' in Italy... afterall he said this...

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=433169&cc=4716

Real goalkeeper Iker Casillas hit back at critics who said they had been lucky.

'The league rewards consistency. I thought it was sad Italy won the World Cup for the way they played but over 35 games we have been the most consistent side and we deserve respect for that,' he said.

This is the only deal I could learn to live with. Though I don't see him wanting to move from Madrid, or Spain for that matter.

Casillas would be Incredible. He's probably the best in the world after Buffon and Cech.I dont think this deal is all that impossible.I read sometime back that Buffon didnt want to move to Inter to avoid trouble with Juventus fans, and if he holds on to that, then the logical move for him would be to not go to any Italian team and move abroad.Id dont see him moving to the EPL,so i think him moving to Real Madrid is very possible as they are the only major foreign club where he'd have the largest number of Italians with him.

I rate him higher than Cech. Buffon>Cassilas>Cech. Cech is awesome, has the height advantage, a very stabl keeper but Cassilas has one advatage over him IMO, that kind of "Superman" effect. He has those fantastic reflexes and makes those unbelieveable saves, not saying Cech doesn't but at least not to that extent. Yeah, Iker would be great.

It was indeed sad that Italian football won. I have never seen uglier football than Italy´s and Greece´s on EURO 2004.

Plus Iker has been keeping goal infront of shitty defences for a large part of his career. So he'd be accustomed to the Boumsong factor:D

That's certainly one important aspect to keep in mind. With the defense we have now, we need that "Superman" factor more than ever. :D

are you sure? Juve don't exactly play pretty football... Juve is considered by many as playin' ugly football... even by their own fans...

so i guess you must be sad when Juve wins...

so let's hope the teams that play prettier football than Juve always win against Juve...
