I thought Capello and Buffon did not get along? I doubt Buffo wants to experience Capello again.
Media bullshit.
If Real offers money for Buffon they will do it only because Capello asked for him. I doubt there's bad blood between them.

I just finished reading some spanish and italian papers and sites. Looks like Capello desperatly wants Buffon . Capello prefers Buffon because he's much taller than Casillas and because he knows Buffon very well and trust him more.

It says that if Capello wins the league then the first thing he'll ask from Calderon is to get him Buffon.
Capello wanted Buffon last summer but luckily Buffon decided to stay with us back then and he didn't find himself in madrid.

if Real sign Buffon then that would be a very stupid signing...Casillas is among the top 3 keepers in the world as well so spending such a huge amount of money on a goalie...i would say to Juve to go for it

If we sold Buffon to Real and got Cassilas + cash in return I'd say that's the best possible solution for us. Don't see it happening though, Cappelo is getting the boot winning the leauge or not. In Real winning is not everything, you gotta entertain the crowd, those 80k+ plus people don't show up to each and every match to see long balls. No, if Real wants Buffon it's definetly not because of Capello, he's history IMO.

At this point, its more a matter of who will replace him with, than if he will leave. Boruc from Celtic looks solid. In the CL vs Manchester Utd and Milan he was stellar. He would probably be our cheapest option as well, assuming Amelia and Frey are the other 2 choices.

sorry shyne but boruc is far from solid, he has made several high profile misyakes this season. most noticably in the old firm game where he attempted to turn a slow moving overhead kick around teh post, instead of getting 2 good fists to it he tried to make a save for the camera's and lost teh winning goal

he has made too many mistakes to be taken seriously and most watchers of scottish football agree that craig gordon is teh best keeper in the country and at 23 has almost his full career ahead of him.

anyone tempted to pay £8million pound for boruc deserves what they get...as tehy say, a fool and his money are easily parted

Really don't know what to think. If Buffon wants to leave, let him leave and garner as much profit as we can from him. We should offer him up to Madrid before those bastards in Milan because honestly I don't want to face him in Serie A and many players who travel to Real end up languishing anyway, so go right ahead Gianluigi.

Out of the likes of Frey, Amelia and Boruc, I would pass on Frey because I haven't been all too convinced with him recently. Amelia is alright I suppose but Boruc does seem to have a load of potential, so I'm not sure who I would go with.

Bozi, addmitedlly, Ive only seen him in the WC and CL, so im ignorant to w/e mistakes he makes in the SPL. I still think he would do us well though.

boruc is 28-29 so his potential has been realised, he does make soem great saves but is also very gaffe-prone

i would not trust him in the juve goal, it would be like entrusting our defences CL push to boumsong

like i said to andy i wouldnt feel secure with boruc in our goal...the man is a disaster waiting to happen. though i could see why anyone who hadnt seen his league form not see his down side. in the cl he was good but league form is shady at best

Well, I'll have to trust the forum's SPL expert on this one. I haven't seen the Old Firm match since about two years ago.

If Buffon was to leave, the best possible option would be Amelia IMO.He's young, and he is very talented. He can develop into one of the best in the world at Juventus if not THE best.He isnt expensive either.Frey wouldnt be bad either, but id rather have Amelia.

Agreed, my good friend is a major Celtic fan and he rates Boruc but concedes that he's way too unreliable at times..

Having watched the turnaround at the end of the Bologna game last weekend (Gigi's massive saves) it is going to be impossible to replace Buffon or the points he personally ensures in a league season.

With that in mind I would rather see Frey than Amelia or even Casillas. We need a proven, Serie A keeper in their prime - any droppped points from a Serie A novice would affect us too much next year..

i think the Amelia option is definitely open to Juve...no1 is gonna challeng us for him...depends what Juve's transfer strategy is...are they looking to build a Juve for the future or do they want to buy established players...
