Cobolli Gigli: We Will Never Sell Buffon The Juventus President confirmed that the club will meet the player at the end of the season to find an agreement for the upcoming seasons.

Cobolli Gigli: We Will Never Sell Buffon

Buffon did not sound very optimistic about the idea of remaining at Juve next year, especially since the Bianconeri will not be competing for any major European honours.

However, once again, Cobolli Gigli stated that the Old Lady has no intention of selling her star player and will do everything to keep him in Turin.

"We shall meet Buffon at the end of the season to find an agreement, but we never had any intention of selling him. We want to continue our rapport with Gigi also next year, and I think that no offer will make us change our mind.

"Buffon is a fundamental player for Juve and we shall not lose him, not even for any huge offers."

Cobolli Gigli also spoke about the transfer market in general which will see Juventus searching for quality players this summer to build a strong side for next year’s Serie A campaign.

"We don't need to sell our champions to obtain cash: we already have the money to make excellent purchases and we shall do them.

"There was an important investment with the increase in capital, which will become real in June. We can also count on the sales of players on loan and from the youth system."

I don't mind selling some youth players and players that are on loan. Seriously most of them won't make it in the team anyway. But I will be really mad if Marchisio, Giovinco or Palladino will be sold.

i thnk Juve supporters should face the fact that Buffon will certainly leave Juventus at the end of the season...it will be a very sad day for us but i think Gigi has decided to move on...it will be painful to see him go but we should be supportive and wish him well for the future...i just hope he does not join any Italian club

1- VDS is quite old and is prone to make errors...remeber his time at Juve
2 - Lehmann's days are numbered but i dont think Arsenal can afford Gigi
3 - Valdes is good but Barca have got money to spend and they can always do better than VV

i agree on the first two ahmedz but i honestly doubt barca can buy buffon.

i dont know whats worse really buffon going to inter or going to milan both are crap in my opinion. if he should leave i wish he goes abroad or just stay at juventus.

as for milan i dont know what this team is going to be like next season if they have buffon and zambrotta!! the management should consider this its our advantage that other remain at there current level or work on making juve reach there current level but never give them the upper hand that would be stupidity and then u cant blame any one if u have people like turk badass and me burning cobolii and secco alive not to mention angela will probably drag secco to the goal post strip him off his clothes and hang him with his tie in revenge.

no seriously this management is worrying me there philosophy is wierd and has nooo basic charterisitics whats soo ever. guess we will have to wait and see how this chapter ends.

If we sell Buffon to Inter/Milan we literally have to RIP THEM OFF!
If Gigi want to stay in Italy and join Milan I don't see what our board can do... They can't block his transfer to Milan especially after all he did for us. So it will not be our board fault if Gigi wants to leave and join Milan...

I Could Leave, Buffon Tells Gigli
Despite Cobolli Gigli having declared that the Azzurri number one will not be sold, Buffon warned the club’s leadership that there is only a fifty-fifty chance of him staying at the Old Lady.

Following the declaration from Cobolli Gigli stating that Juventus had no intention of selling Buffon, and would thus reject any offers coming in for the goalkeeper, Buffon has responded by saying that there is an even chance of him leaving the Turin giants.

"Yes it’s true, I could leave Juventus this summer," he said.

"Juve fans are afraid of my departure? In a week or two I will meet with the club’s leadership to discuss my future.

"However I don’t think this situation should turn into an issue.

"At the moment there aren’t arriving any official offers. The leadership hasn’t put me on the transfer market yet but in case I would decide to quit we would ponder every measures that ought to be taken."

Finally, he gave his verdict on Juve's Serie A crdentials: "Juventus will become competitive in about 4-5 years and many investments will be necessary."

The Turin bosses are unlikely to be amused by that.
