Deschamps: "Buffon resta alla Juve al 100%"
    21 07 2006
    ------------------------------------------------------------

Didier say´s that gigi will 100% stay. :)

I hope you are right, but I'm afraid what mark said was the fact:cry:
I don't want to predict, but I'm still convinced that if we are willing to keep 5 stars from our 11,and we alredy have Del Piero and Neddy decided to stay, that Buffon,Camoranesi and Trez will stay...So Vieira and Ibrahimovic need to be sold.

If we sell Buffon and keep Ibrahimovic I would be very dissapointed by the club's decision.

Buffon is simply the best goalkeeper in the world...and my favourite Juve player. If he stays then I will be over the moon.

Plus, if Gigi stays then some of the others may decide to stay as well.

Then all we need is to get the 30 points reduced and hopefully we'll be back in Serie A after only one season!

Didier actually said that he would like Trez to stay and he can't give any guaranties, but there must be some sort of economical estimation.

So that doesn't mean that Trez is gonna be sold.:)

    DESCHAMPS: BUFFON IS STAYING

Juventus manager Didier Deschamps has claimed World Cup-winning goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is following Alessandro Del Piero's example by staying at Juventus in Serie B.

Juventus will start next season in Italy's second division with a 30-point deficit after they were found guilty of match fixing.

So far Lilian Thuram, Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson and Gianluca Zambrotta have left, while Patrick Vieira is reportedly on the verge of a move to Inter Milan.

However, Buffon, who had reportedly been a target of Arsenal and AC Milan has indicated he is willing to stay.

"We have managed to keep the goalkeeper. I am 100% certain that Buffon is staying," said Deschamps.

"It is important that we have managed to keep a world-class goalkeeper and a world-class striker, so that we are well covered at both sides of the pitch.

"Currently, four players have left, but I am hopeful some others will decide to stay with us."

One of those is France striker David Trezeguet - also linked to Arsenal - and Deschamps believes his relationship with his former France team-mate will have in key role in persuading him to stay.

He added: "It is important that we keep [David] Trezeguet because his worth is undeniable. Also I have the added advantage of knowing him very well from when we played together.

"I spoke to him before the sentence, but he is on holiday now and we must wait for him to come back before we know what his decision will be. It's up to him."

It's interesting that he doesn't say a word about Ibrahimovic..

Well I was going to suggest that it may be a foregone conclusion that Zlatan won't be around next year.. I can't imagine Deschamps simply forgot about him.
