Puts to bed the endless debate from Juve and Roma fans who absurdly claim that ADP and Totti were better than the Divine One, Buffon has said that and he never played with him at club level and rarely at international level.

''But but but Del Piero is better, he won a bazillion more trophies than Baggio'' :D
Seen both and Baggio was better player imho. Ale had misfortune to get injured, otherwise he'd have gone to become better player, probably best Italian of all time. Thing about Baggio was that he made a huge mistake; after the 93/94 he decided to stall contract renewal talks, probably already made an arrangement with Milan, thinking they'd be a better side for him to win major silverware, therefore Lippi decided to give more playing time to young Alex, brightest talent at that time. Juve in previous years couldn't win major trophies, didn't compete in CL as only one participant from Serie A was allowed, and Milan was in significantly better position. It came out that Juve won the title in his final year and CL year after that, our cycles started while for Milan it all went downhill in the following years.

Got a problem douchebag?

@DelPiero84 I could also spin that the other way too, Baggio has said many times that he was only ever 100% fit for about 3 or 4 games a season, and he achieved everything he did with one and a half good legs due to his terrible injury with Vicenza in 1985. Del Piero could have been out of this world has he not good injured in 1998, but think just how much better Baggio could have been had he not got injured too?
