Buffon is surely not as good as he used to be in his prime but I'd still take him ahead of most goalkeepers. The only Italian goalkeepers who are close to him at the moment are Sirigu and Marchetti.

By a country mile. No other Italian keeper at the moment comes close to him. Marchetti IMO is the next best Italian keeper, but he is still prone to the odd clanger and his positioning on the line is suspect at times. Great shot-stopper though.

Looking forward to seeing Nicola Leali rise up through the ranks. Hopefully he can reach similar levels.
