Inter is far from a decent side. They are in CL Final for God's sake. They are 1st in Serie A. They're in Coppa Italia final. Lets call it what it is, they are one of the best teams in the world.
That's just becuz they've got one of the best coaches in the world. I don't like Mourinho's personality at all but honestly he does a job, his mind is amazing,he's genius, rational, stringent, and strict. And He's not pathetic, I cannot remember if he has ever made decision emotionally or not. That's completely unlikely... :shifty:

Remember Inter under Mancini, surely they were 1st in Serie A, but I think all of us agree that was becuz Juve and Milan had totally been fucked up after Calciopoli. Yes,they were in Coppa final for several seasons, but it didn't indicate their aptitude,Roma was as well in Coppa. We've never put a lot of effort on Coppa.
They were not brilliant in CL too,for instance on 2008-09, a 1-1 draw at home against Werder Bremen, a 3-3 draw against "Anorthosis" away, 1-0 lost against "Panathinaikos" at Meazza, 2-1 lost in Bremen. Finally they stay up in 2nd place of their group, but they were NOT brilliant. Hmm,and if you ask me, I say they performed deeply below average of the world top teams...
It's off topic, I just wanted to remind you that "IT* IS NOT MERDA, IT IS JOSE MOURINHO!"

*refers to the one who is 1st in serie A, in Coppa final and CL's final...

Only Inter would make the top 6 in the EPL.
Retarded post of the Year. I hate Inter, but they disposed of Chelsea over 2 legs, and handled Barca pretty effectively. Dare I say they might actually challenge for the Premiership? As for Milan, they are a "retirement" home, but I still have reason to believe they could push for a top 4 finish. A Juve under a different coach with fewer injuries could actually finish in the top 3, if not challenge for the title. Stop over-rating the Premier League. Manchester look much weaker after losing Rooney and Tevez, Chelsea are ageing, Arsenal don't have a defence or goalkeeper, are injury prone and inexperienced, and Liverpool are in tatters.

Thats interesting to think about, mr B...as I assume you mean the current squad, with a decent manager...

Chelsea are aging. But they are not lacking decent young to mid 20s players, who are improving every season. Kalou, Ivanovic, Mikel for example. Also...Alex, Malouda, Essien, Bonsingwa, Cech...all have at least a few more years left at the highest level.
They are far from being the Milan of the premiership, as there IS youth in place to step up and take the place of the seniors who will need replacing in the coming seasons, IF they deteriorate.

I don't presume for a second that Inter would only be able to aim for a top six position. They would most certainly be challenging for the title, along with Chelsea and Man U (if rooney stayed fit for most the season).

With our current squad, even with a high quality manager I don't think we would be with those three teams, if Inter were in the premiership with us. Arsenal are probably better, and have a wicked manager, and City are also a stronger squad. I reckon we could be in the 4th-6th region, at best.

As pace is SO important in the premiership, we may not even manage that, as a lack of pace has been one of our main problems this season.

its a stronger league, with stronger players, which is more action packed than the italian game. My sicilian blood and love of italian football has always made me appreciate them both equally. For I gain as much pleasure from seeing chiellini read the flow of the game 4 steps ahead of the movement of the ball and crunch Totti, winning the ball in the process, as I do from seeing jermain defoe outpace three defenders and whip the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.

But back to buffon.

he has been amazingly loyal to our cause. I hate the idea of the club deciding to cash in on him, unless he has told them that he wants to leave. a business, unless its desperate for money, which apparently we are not, does not sell its most valuable assets, of which buffon, for us, is definitely one.

I have little fear that he will go. As I doubt Chelsea want him. Ferguson won't pay huge money for him. Which leaves City, as the only candidate really, in terms of Who Would Pay A Huge Fee...and I assume they are happy with Given, and also, would prefer to purchase younger players.

Man Utd? Little chance, unless he puts in a transfer request, because they don't have cash to burn. This is a club with £700m+ debts. Ferguson has already said they will look to sign one or two younger players to fit with their model.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Buffon said: “If I had to leave, I think that England could be my destination. My desire to leave Juve is equal to that of the club to transfer me.

“Everything that concerns me will be agreed with the club. At the moment, there is nothing but there are two weeks left and something could still happen.

“We'll see if we decide to continue together.”

(football-italia)

which clears nothing up whatsoever. 'if i had to leave'...its up the club then.

Don't know what people want, it's obvious Buffon will leave IF the club wants to sell him and the club will ONLY sell him if a hefty offer comes along. We're gonna be stuck with that answer untill after the WC. Only then can we expect some proper clarifications on his future.

The only thing i could see happening is a exchange deal.
With united it could only be Berbatov (no thank you)
Arsenal could offer Sagna or Van Persie (Fabregas but they won't do that).

I just don't see him joining Arsenal. Ok. he gets to play in Europe, but he does not get to win anything. I almost think Juve are more likely to win something than Arsenal.

ManU seems unlogical to me, they extended VDSar contract so I don't think he will be offered a new contract if they want to invest in a new 1st GK.

He's not going anywhere. He probably just got the question where he would like to end up if he had to leave Juventus and he answered PL.

I think the Mancini/Mourinho comparision is wrong. You have to take Motta, Pandev, Milito, E'too, Lucio not to mention Sneijder, this while only giving up Zlatan. Im not saying Mancini is better than mou... far far from, its is just a much better team Mourinho is working with.

There was an interview with him on SKY.

He basically said he is happy at Juve.

However, if the club wanted to sell him, he would probably go to England.

Finally a rational thinking person who has not been blinded by the EPL glitter. Yes the "Big 4" In England are collectively better than the top 4 teams in the other countries but that's not to say that if the best teams from around the world were in a 'super league' that they would finish 1-4 or that the standard of their league is better than the rest. I honestly believe that if people around the world watched the Serie A and just concentrated on the football then they would be surprised and far more entertained. And that's why Buffon will stay at Juve!

Fast paced and tackle's flying in from all angles and the masses treating football as a religion does not make the quality of the games any better.

"Rafa Benitez's CV is really good, Tactically he's a very good manager and he's also shown he can deal with problems off the pitch. Benitez is a great professional that every team would like to have."
