Buffon: “If I leave Juve, I will go to England”

That’s fucking disgusting.
Disgusting???? You mean the thought of him leaving in general? or specifically the thought of him going to england to play in the most exciting league in europe, with more of the world's greatest players on show than in italy???

Why is it so exciting? Apart from the top 4 or 5 teams the rest are awful to watch. When higher teams can on numerous occasions score 6+ goals then I would say that the league is boring and in need of urgent repair.

But that's just my opinions and opinions are like arseholes...

I hate the idea of him leaving Juventus. Its equally horrifying to me as the suggestion of Chiellini leaving. Those two players, to me, are incredibly important to our cause, they are the foundation of whatever we build from here on in. Already proven world class talent.

If our club is in a healthy financial position and Blanc has been decent as the money man, as is the widely held opinion, then why the hell would we need to sell one of our two most valuable assets to finance our renovation project??? it makes no sense whatsoever.

Unless Buffon is desperate to leave, which is not the feeling I have.

If he is to leave Juve, then I would prefer to see him in england, where he could play only for Manchester United or Chelsea. and yes, i find english football more interesting and of a higher technical value to the italian league of today. We were humbled by Fulham this season...unless you missed that. Not unfairly either, from what i saw, it could have been worse.

I DONT WANT BUFFON TO LEAVE. he is one half of the only Heart left at Juve, the other half being Giorgio.

Juventus didn't loose to Fulham because we are an Italian side, there are enough posts and threads on these forums to suggest why we have dropped points to everyone.

It is your prerogative to enjoy english football and clearly we have different opinions on this and that's fine but I think most people would agree that the lower leams in Serie A are of a higher technical standard than the lower teams in the EPL, and would do much better than their EPL counterparts if given the opportunity. Just look at Catania.

Honestly I believe that the majority of people think the EPL is so good because it looks 'pretty'. They have well maintained, full stadiums. Regional teams in Italy will never fill stadiums like the English as the populations in the regional centers where they're from simply aren't there. Even Burnley can look good to the untrained eye playing at the emirates in front of a full house.

Anyway we're getting off topic here. Buffon is a champion and I hope he retires at Juventus, FORZA JUVE!!!!

Only Inter would make the top 6 in the EPL.

We lost, because Fulham this season are better than Juventus this season. And they deserved to go through, we didn't.

Football is huge in england, its popularity only mirrored in South america. That is part of it...there are more people watching football, playing football, speaking about football. Its odd, to meet an englishman who isn't interested in football. far less odd for any other countries but some south american countries. Popularity is one thing. England is relatively saturated with exposure to football, tv, papers, radio, advertising. Again, this ties in with the demand for football. As for the game looking prettier, its an interesting point, but not one an englishman would think much of...as we grow up knowing football. Our eyes are trained more thoroughly and at an earlier age than most of the rest of the world. The english game is faster, more tackles flying in, more aggressive, and has grown so popular and powerful financially over the last decade that it has attracted a larger glut of the world's greatest players than any other top european league. This obviously, no doubt whatsoever, adds to the quality and entertainment value of the league...Unles you have lived there, its impossible to understand how football pervades all areas of england, all ages, at all times. Its the number one religion there, like in Brazil. Its different in Italy, and france, and spain. Its popularity is not the same.

i am glad you want Santo Buffon to stay. the more of us that want it, the more it is likely to happen! so says the dreamier parts of my character...

Lets look at who started the game against Fulham in England before thinking that they're in any way better than Juve. We dominated them in Turin, they got that lucky deflected goal on their only attempt on goal.

Inter is the only decent side in serie a. Roma at best is as good as City or tottenham.. Juve and Milan are even worse.

Serie A is nothing better than the bundesliga anymore

Inter is far from a decent side. They are in CL Final for God's sake. They are 1st in Serie A. They're in Coppa Italia final. Lets call it what it is, they are one of the best teams in the world.
