Better? Perhaps. That is still debatable. Significantly better? I highly doubt it. I really don't think Pazzini is going to score more than 12-13 goals in Serie A.
I'd back Pazzini to get more goals than that if he was Juve main CF.

Pazzini's goal-scoring record is very good when he is playing in a team that is functioning well and there is no reason just now to think Juve won't be functioning well and making chances in the coming season.

What's up with your affection for Pazzo?

I just want a poacher
I just like guys like Pazzini.

Poachers, but with that little bit of extra muscle that makes them more of a handful for defenders.

The main thing with Pazzini is that I really approve of how he moves when a ball is about to be put into the box. Some forwards are too inclined to go to the back post, some are too inclined to go front post and some are just too static.

Pazzini really understands where and when to move when a cross is about to be delivered.

And the fact that a large chunk of the forum hates him and the thought of another 'mediocre Italian poacher' means that I choose to be voice my approval of him more than I would for other players. :D

I'd be absolutely disgusted with Pazzini as the main CF for Juventus. I'd rather just get Jovetic, and play Jovetic and Vucinic, than sacrifice the potential acquisition of JoJo for someone like Pazzini. Sacrificing Jovetic for someone like RVP or even Dzeko is understandable, but to end the market with Pazzini as the main acquisition for the attack is simply unacceptable.

Pazzini will come here and score 25 goals and you'll all be trolled by Marotta yet again. When will you all learn?

Hope the Quagmire and Pazzo swap turns out to be true, giving away a useless player thats hard to sell for one that would quite useful as an option would be win-win.

Dont you think the same counts for Amauri too when he first joined Juve (in his six months, when he actually scored) ?

I'd forgotten that Senderos used to play for Milan. :D

Amauri was very much more about going to the back post and relying on his size to win headers, which needs a particular type of cross.

Pazzini beats defenders with good movement, so can get on the end of all sorts of crosses.

Matri's movement in preseason has been better then last seasons movement

I love this logic. As if it's a fact that the possible signing of Pazzini means no Jovetic.
