Krasic and Elia be labelled failures for last season. They don't fit Conte's tactics. That's another discussion altogether. Last season is not a yardstick for Quag coz he only got 5 months after being integrated with the squad and not enough continuity. This season, starting afresh will get him more continuity. He is a player short of a bit of confidence but he'll find his levels again. Its kind of like what happened to Matri in the seond half of the season. Good player, 0 confidence. For my money, with this team, Matri can easily be a 20 goal poacher if he has Conte's confidence.

But that's bull. Elia is LW just as Mirko is, he just didn't perform in training. Krasic is a RW and can play the SS if he has to, he just didn't perform well enough when given the chance. Quags is a mediocre striker, he has neither the technique and fantasy to play an adequate SS nor has he the killer instinct to be our prima punta.

Its not just training. A lot of things went against Elia. Conte probably didn't see him as mature enough to handle the role. They probably had problems communicating and understanding each other. You can't label Elia a failure for that. Fact is, he didn't get any chance on the field to prove his mettle. Doesn't mean he's shite. Krasic was another story again. He'll do wonderfully well in the Epl for instance with a bit more space. Conte's tactics don't suit him because he cant hold on to the ball though again, to be fair we didn't give him time to get accustomed to it because of his characteristics. In Conte's own words, he is too timid. I'm not getting into a discussion about Quags here, because there is nothing to debate here. You're knee jerking just like Suns, who without any rationale writes off the player, in the same manner that he gloats about Giovinco. My perception and opinion of the player is different as things stand. I hope he is given a fair chance to prove himself is season because last season was a write off, and would have been for any player in his place coming off an injury as serious as his. Hopefully, that will allow you or me to change our view on the player.

I'm sorry if you've misunderstood my posts about Quags as knee-jerking - that was not the point at all. I sincerely believe, and believe to have rationale behind my stance, that Quags is a mediocre, lovable player. I would love to see him do well, but I just don't see it happening in our colors.

@Mer de Noms :D: Oh please, if I know Nzoric like I have, there has been nothing but stubborn debate about Borrigol for 6 months. Course its knee jerking mate, since I didn't see you around in the 6 months leading up to Quags injury. I've never claimed him to be 30m value player, always a dynamic, x factor kind of player who can do stuff coming off the bench or filling in for a more prominent player. His versatility makes him a fantastic asset in the frontline and I stand by it. I'd rate him above average. Whether he stays or goes, I think he will do well in the season ahead barring injury.

it was stubborn debate about Borrigol because people deemed him a failure before he even got here - i took his side for the fuck of it and because I didn't think he was as bad as everyone made him out to be. You didn't see me around here in the 6 months before Quags injury because I joined the forum in Jan 2011, I.E. right about the time he got injured.

Pretty lame if you write off every sincere post I make on the basis of "oh that's the guy who defended borrigol". Just sayin, I say some pretty smart things and you might be missing out :p

I'm sorry I meant it in a good way. Not writing it off at all. But face it, you didn't take Borri's side for the fuck of it. And while I've always questioned your sporting opinions and choice of players, you know I wouldn't write you off as a poster. :p :p

And I prefer Nzoric as a username this one is gaydom personified.

According to SKY, and I have no idea how they would know this:

Marotta telefona a Pazzini: "Tranquillo, ad agosto vieni alla Juventus"

Marotta on the phone with Pazzini: "Be calm, in August you'll come to Juventus"

Quags is a mediocre striker who happens to score some really nice goals. Pazzini is a mediocre striker aswell. Neither will be world class imo. When people say Quag was our best striker in 2010/2011, our other two strikers were iaquinta and amauri. Some of us on this forum would be considered the better striker when matched against those two shmucks. As much as I love quag, maybe it is time for him to go. I really hate pazzini, but for some reason I can see him scoring many goals for us. Though obviously his signing should not erase the fact that we need a top-class goalscorer. Vucinic,Matri,Giovinco,Pazzini,( Mr.X) Pretty sold attacking options.
