take into account how much we paid for the year loan of Quag...which was 4.5m i think...making his total price, if we sign him outright, 15m.
Makes more sense, but still to think Martinez is worth 12M while Quag is worth 15M is just too close. Martinez should have been bought for 6M-8M, we overpaid on him way too much.

Isn't Pazzini the best option if Dzeko isn't available? If a striker is bought, Giampaolo seems likely to me.

Would a deal be done that sees Amauri heading to Sampdoria? Unfortunately, I do not see those two on the same team.

'Juve want Pazzini at all costs'
Siena director of sport Giorgio Perinetti claims it's well known in the Italian transfer market that Juventus want Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini at all costs.

Juventus have made signing a target man a priority after losing patience with Amauri who has scored just 17 League goals in two and a half seasons in Turin.

Pazzini was repeatedly linked with Juventus in the summer, but Sampdoria's place in the Champions League qualifiers meant he wasn't for sale.

Tuttosport claims a deal for the Italy international could happen in January and Perinetti believes Juventus and Sampdoria could reach some sort of an agreement too.

“The Bianconeri want a centre-forward at all costs,” Perinetti said. “They will insist a lot for Pazzini and I am convinced that they will make the signing in January.”

Perinetti is one of the most respect directors of sport in Italy after masterminding Bari's survival last year with the signings of Andrea Ranocchia and Leonardo Bonucci.

As for Pazzini, he is said to be disillusioned at Marassi partly because of the Antonio Cassano situation and other internal matters.

Juventus have intimated that they will open their cheque book in January, but only if the right opportunities present themselves.

It remains to be seen whether a deal for Pazzini can work at this stage of the season and how it would be structured.

What? You reckon another loan deal?

I don't think we're investing on Dzeko if we buy this Pazzo guy straight out.

Okay, I'll just trust whatever Mark says about all of this.

I might have to go on a sabbatical when it happens.

Mark or Dusan or Red might have to ban me for 7 days until I calm down if it happens.
