Easily but I'd still take Oscar without thinking twice. Not many AMs on the market these days.
Oscar would be a dream to get right now due to our complete drought in attacking midfield talent. He would be very good and really productive AM to have.

Only thing that would make me think twice about Oscar is the price, if he was on the market to begin with.

They certainly do not believe in Ducksch.
They loaned him last season and he didn't do all that much.

I think Aubameyang, Ramos(when back healthy) and even Reus are their options up front while they're also being linked to some younger guys.

Also, this is the German Bundesliga thread and for the past three or so pages all that was debated are guys that don't play in this league. :lol2:

To talk some Bundesliga.
Bayern surely knows how to sell.
They supposedly got €20M for a 31 year old with bad ankles and one year left on his contract in Schweinsteiger.
He's done great things for Germany but Schweinsteiger hasn't played a full season within the last five years and I doubt that will change as he gets older and plays in England.

As for Bayern.
They still got Alonso, Martinez, Thiago, Alaba, Rode, Kimmich, Hojbjerg, Gaudino and Lahm, who Pep always wants to play in CM because of whatever reason.

On another note.
Today will be the first pre-season test with the Telekom Cup being held in Monchengladbach. The semifinals will be Gladbach vs HSV and Bayern vs Augsburg with the 3rd place and Final following after those semifinals.
Most teams won't have their national team players but it's still a nice start to another season.
Agreed about Schweini, he will be a loss as a leader and icon only, on the pitch, he has not had a fit and top season for like 3 years now. But still, it wouldnt have hurt to keep him as bench option. I doubt the quality of Douglas Costa, and wether likes of Kimmich, Guadino and Höjberg will be good enough in general. More so when they seem to have a cronic case of injuries with lots of players.

Germany is introducing the goal line technology, what are you guys thinking about it? I am not quite sure if that is needed... I mean there are way more wrong offside calls or fake/nongiven pk, that are far more important to a game. Even every little bad call can have it's influence on the game... Would be fucked up to not get a clear pk but you concede cause of the technology
Goal line technology should exist in all leagues IMO. its perfect solution for something that should never be in doubt, friggin goals. It worked perfectly in EPL last season, hope more leagues adopt it.

They believe in that kid named Ducksch

Most likely they'll use a system similar to 4-2-3-1 where 1 striker is required only. Obama, Ramos, Duksch
Dont know if they believe in him, as he hasnt shown anything that would make Dortmund count on him.

 just one thing, Bayern dont know how to sell..they mostly sell much too cheap and it seems they have no clue about the development of prices over the last years. Kroos for below 30m€ selling Gomez for cheap to Fiorentina despite having much better offers from EPL..Shaqiri for under 20m again to Italy instead of EPL..they r too nice, when it comes to selling players they dont need anymore. I m pretty sure that Bayern dont get 20m, I think its more like 15m€. They should hire me I would do a much better job than Rummenigge & Co. :agree:

Kimmich is going to be a great player..big fan since two years and I hope Pep give trust to him from the beginning.

i dont think they cant sell, i rather think they want to grant their players their wish. like Gomez wanted Fiorentina so they rejected better offers to let him go there. Kroos probably wanted Real (i cant really remember but i think United was offering more) so they granted his wish too

Yes Shaqiri has been garbage since over a year, but the time they sold him to Inter, most people or clubs didnt know how head- and brainless he is. Liverpool offered around 25m€ that time.

@zizinho: Yes u r right of course. I just think they r too nice. There was a time everybody was laughing about Real and Chelsea, but look how they r doing business nowadays and nobody of the players care about it, that they demand such hefty prices. The players still wanna come...

Munich would burn and Rummenigge and Pep would be forced to leave Bavaria. If some bookie would over me 1,10 for Müller staying, then I would bet my house on it. I cannot see any scenario where Bayern would consider selling Müller. Its not even imaginable.

Shaqiri just made the absolute worst decision joining Bayern at such a young age, especially with Robben and Ribery around.

He was pretty much set to join Gladbach(like Xhaka) in 2012 but Ottmar Hitzfeld told him he had the talent to play for Bayern and so he joined them.

Since then he's hardly developed, still running with his head down trying to get by three players, and he needs to join a club with a manager that actually does work with him, if he wants to become really good.

Seems like Augsburg will sell LB Abdul Rahman Baba for €25M to Chelsea.
His replacement will be Phillip Max(son of former german NT striker Martin Max) of 2nd Bundesliga side Karlsruher SC and they'll pay €4M for him.

That just shows how much money those english teams now have and Augsburg was able to generate 10x what they paid for Baba just one year ago.

Now sporting director Stefan Reuter will have about €20M extra to go shopping, if he wants to.

I really hope Xhaka and Herrmann are playing another good season(both have release options in 2017) and attract interest from english teams.
Could easily be €50 - €60M and prevent Xhaka from going to Bayern.

It's like €25m is some kind of standard price for random half decent young players now. Small clubs must be rubbing their hands. At least this money is filtering down to them, I suppose.
