I watched Schalke - bremen yesterday. Probably one of the best matches i watched this season so far.

 for Bundesliga
It was quite an entertaining game, but all those missed chances were terrible. Especially Sanogo seemed totally unable to score even from the greatest chances.
:wallbang:
But a draw is not too bad overall.

What a game! What an atmosphere! And what a referee!

I really wish we can have this kind of refereeing in Italy. Lately I've been watching the Bundesliga a lot and I rarely see any player complaining on any refereeing decision. A game like Dotmund - Bayern this evening, tough, physical, high tempo and tense in every meaning of the word was a beauty to watch. Markus Merk deserves 10/10.

Other than refereeing, the game was amazing, it only missed a goal.

What did you think of the game otherwise? Dortmund got really close a few times, so did Bayern but I thought Dortmund's chances were more dangerous.

And one more thing, Luca Toni is good but he doesn't fit in such physical games, Podolski should have started.

No, I'm not a fan of EPL. I also don't have coverage and I ain't complaining, better off without it.

There's PSG - Lyon also today, what do you think?
Big game..and guaranteed atmosphere..PSG are in poor form and they lost a lot of important players in the summer, they're in a rebuilding process but they always give Lyon a hard time..I expect Lyon to win it barely though.

I didn't get to watch the match, but I read about it....

I think big Luca can play well in those types of matches...just think he is still adjusting to the gameplay and style.

Dr. Markus Merk is my favorite ref. He is the man.
Always think (esp in CL) that Merk is better for the smaller teams. Can be vry picky, making the game stop & start, not letting the game flow. Having said that, when its 2 evenly matched teams he is a very good official.

For a moment we thought that he was being raped or abused just from the way he looked, and how much he wasted sweat when at the same time his team mates and the opposing team look like they were having a walk on the beach. A couple of times I thought he was going to ask Ottmar to take him out. I've seen him play in other matches, he works pretty well but that game was really highly physical.

I expect the same scenario when they play Schalke away.

Kompany scored the only goal for HSV. He seems to be in total confidence this season. I hope he can keep up and avoid those nasty injuries.
