Werder struggled a lot so far this season. We had and still have many injuries (atm Hunt, Womé, Frings, Boenisch, Baumann, Sanogo). So far:

Diego - Saved us more than once this season. He becomes a leader more and more and is able to change a match on his own. He's had some weaker games especially after returning from the trips with the Selecao and you cann see him being tired sometimes because without Frings, our game relies too much on him.

Sanogo - Came with low expectations from Hamburg but you sure know the numbers - 10 goals in 18 games are not that bad, are they? His technical abilities are not the best but we knew that before and so we are happy he adjusted to Bremen's play so fast.

Frings - Has not made many appearances so far because of an injury. The team misses him a lot.

Rosenberg - Totally out of form at the beginning of the season maybe due to the high expectations for his first full season in Bremen. But recently, Markus has shown improvement. He scored against Berlin and against Duisburg in the DFB-Pokal and has now gained a starting spot because of Sanogo's injury. The best is still to come IMO.

Naldo - Great season so far with a world-class performance against Schalke. It would have been a perfect season for him until now if it there had not been the CL clash against Lazio, one of Naldo's worst performances for Werder. He can be made responsible for both of Lazio's goals. A shocking performance, really. Hopefully Carlos Dunga wasn't there.

I see..interesting..especially about Sanogo..i knew this guy 4 years ago when he was playing here in the UAE..i never thought he would make it in a big european team like Bremen..

Toni's disallowed goal was called off for pushing Meira, although I didnt see it as that!
While Gomez's 1st goal wasn't a handball.
