Dennis, you should watch some Werder games in the league. I totally agree that the quality of football is a bit higher than Serie A. Actually I see a lot of similarities between Serie A and Bundesliga this season. Both have one team that is way much superior than all the others.

I have watched a few games of Bundesliga this season and for the first time, it seems to me that the quality is slightly higher than serieA.

If a team that plays so poorly like Juventus have this season can be second even this early then there is something wrong. I saw Milan against Catania and the quality was really poor.

Stuttgart vs Schalke was really exciting and Bayern are good to watch.

The only decent game I have seen in serieA this season is Roma vs Juventus, the rest have been quite average
The good thing about the Bundesliga of late is that the teams in the middle have really increased their form/quality. Teams like Nurenburg, Hertha, even Woflsburg and Hannover have lifted recently and are not easy picking for the top teams.

I saw Werder beaten by Bayern where Klose was hacked down by Nando and Ribery was brilliant.

Toni scored a very good goal last week and has been doing very well. Aintorp has been doing well as a sub , my goodness there is no telling he and his twin apart

I wonder if they swap clubs for 2 eeks just for fun if anyone would be able to tell the difference

But I think they hammered a side 8-1 last weekend and I also saw where they defeated, I think it was Stuttgart 4-1 or something last week or so where in 10 minutes they had scored 3 goals.

They are very good to watch though with players like Rosenberg(tho he does not seem to be in favour) and obviously Diego (looks a bit like Ballack)

I do like Schalke as well with Kurianyi working like a horse Rakitic has impressed me a lot as has Pander with his great left foot as Robinson would testify

I am not enamoured by Hamburg though as they seem to labour a lot

I will be watching more of the Bundesliga in the future as it is underrated, i prefer it to the Ligue1 cos they hardly score goals in tha league

But Ligue 1 has some interesting games as well.

I do a selection of Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Eredivisie and sometimes Portuguese league every weekend.

Every time I watch PSg, they are always missing an open goal, player like Lyuindula and Diane miss it frustrates me.

It would be a tragedy for French football if Lyon with Perrin at the helm makes it 7peat

i'd advise you to watch Toulouse,Marseille or St Etienne..they are the most entertaining teams in France..French ligue is one of my fabourite leagues..

I agree about Psg's strikers though..and PSG is pretty boring to watch this season..unlike the past 2 seasons..when they were entertaining..even though they werent getting results..with the likes of Kalou,Pauleta and Dhoraoso

What on earth happened to Bonaventure? He seemed to be very good in the erevidse but everytime i saw him at Psg he was utter crap.

Marseille, yes are entertaining to watch as Nasri is just brilliant and they have some very good players like Rodrigues, i guess Taiwo Cisse Ndiaye and Diang are not bad, not a huge fan of cheyrou

As for Toulouse they were very embarassing against Liverpool, expected more from them but they are not a bad side at that level of play, i guess

He wasnt that bad actually..he formed a successful partnership with Pauleta..didnt live up to his promise sure..more was expected of him when he first joined from Auxerre..
he moved to Lens in the summer, then 2 months later..he moves to AlJazeera..a club from UAE.

Agree...they are still not over losing Ribery though..Ndiaye is talented..he should be given more of a chance..they bought Karim Ziani from Sochaux, who Imo is an exteremely talented player.

Yes they were terrible against Liverpool..expected more from them myself..But in the Ligue the trident of Elmander,Emana and Mansare are just unstoppable..they are a complete joy to watch..with their fast counter attacking style..My favourite French team currently.

Diego Wins Bundesliga Player Of The Month Award

Werder Bremen midfielder Diego has won the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for September.

The 22 year old Brazilian turned in a number of superb performances to win the award ahead of fellow nominees Miroslav Klose and Jermaine Jones.

He was Werder’s star performer in their recent Champions League defeat to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu attracting praise from Ruud van Nistelrooy.

“He has a balance in his movement, pace, and great ball control. He was simply the best player on the pitch” the Dutch stiker said.

Diego was also the driving force behind Werder’s impressive wins against Stuttgart and Bielefeld, scoring 3 and providing 7 assists.

Last season the talented playmaker won the award three times (August, October and December), and has succeeded Franck Ribéry who won the award for August.

Luca Toni in amazing form, his Bundesliga record so far this term is great, esp for his 1st season in a foreign league. His goal in UEFA Cup was different class. Can only be good for the azzurri for our best goalscorer to be in such devastating form.

    Grazie Bayern........
