Its still a CW show though, so we gotten used to the subpar acting and cookie cutter nature of the tv teen level production. So even if a tv series might dwell into the story more, I expect more gravitas and quality from big motion picture version of The Flash, to be able to stand next to current Superman and Batman and not look out of place as the tv version would defenitely do probably. Even if the chosen guy doesnt exactly have the Barry Allen look down (his name is Ezra Miller), gotten lot of backlash from fans, but he is a fantastic actor still.

I havent seen it, just read about it in IMDB today relating to mass info of new content coming outta Comic-con right now. Anything that has Phillip K Dicks name associated with it deserves a second glance with me.

That's the obvious problem . The budget of the movie will probably be x-times bigger than the money of all the seasons of the tv show combined also considering the different tone it has it won't be the same thing . I do think though that all comic universes can be adapted much better story wise in tv , it's the better tool to develop a long complex story , the problem is that as known budget wise movies are a whole other thing , so you can never reach that level . In movies you have to cut up bigger parts of the story , on the other hand in tv you will obviously have the subpar sets, cgi effects, b list actors . Things are improving though , tv is getting more and more money with each passing year and more and more actors are going for tv shows these days . Imho if things go on like this we may see tv becoming the better film provider in confront to the cinema .

I prefer all superhero stuff to stay far away from CW level productions, and go more for cable networks that can bring quality, or like Marvel are doing with Netflix, bonafide quality production with Daredevil.

Netflix has done a superb job with daredevil . Most big network wouldn't deliver the same thing though imho . Netflix is probably the only one that can pull off that kind of money and a come out with a product like daredevil . Most big network will cater to their general audience , they will go with the usual stuff , not CW like , but still something mostly boring .

Marvel has hit the jackpot with them though . They have like 3-4 series that they have planned with netflix IIRC and daredevil seems will go even bigger in it's second season , great casting so far . Amazon may be a good bet for WB if netflix decides to evolve mostly their marvel world . They definetly have the money to pull off something good and they are making a push to enter the bussiness with their prime service , no better way to gain popularity . It could work greatly in collaboration with their DC universe or being 2 separate universes .

I didnt mean big regular networks, meant cable ones, like showtime, amc, fx, starz, even HBO even though I doubt they will ever touch that market. Independent cable providers who put in alot of effort and work into their projects, some more so then others.

have you seen batmans year one?
No, I couldnt find it in netflix I recall. But I have read the comic its based on.

Most of batmans animated stuff, the series and movies are real good. Especially Batman red hood movie, exceptional. Also Batman mask of phantasm is good (kid friendly classic). While Batman Dark knight returns part 1 and 2 are even better.

Have you seen under the red hood one? Really fantastic.

Also would be great if they made an animated one for the long halloween or Dark Victory graphic novels. Sweet stuff.

The only comic book movie I'd watch these days would be about an assassin who executes all comic book characters.
Not a fan of the genre either, to put it gently. Watchmen was the only superhero related opus I liked and my friends forced me into every marvel movie, batman movie, superman, you name it.

There is actually a comic where deadpool kills every superhero in the marvel universe and eventually kills the writers of the comic books too :D .
