Its not the best, but it's extremely unique and entertaining. Banshee and Black sails the two current series I enjoy the most right now.

At first I was excited. Flint is my fav character so I want to see him as Navy lieutenant and how he became a pirate , but not keen on these pointless discussions that goes in circles with his superior (the idealist vs the cynic talks being repeated), plus how the affair started is boring too. They defenitely need to make these scenes shorter if this is what they addressing mainly.

Hannibal is easily one of the best shows I have ever watched, only Breaking Bad is a step higher.
It's great, very imaginative and with a rather unique style, though I wouldn't go that far. Game of Thrones, True Detective, Breaking Bad and especially The Wire are overall higher quality in my opinion, and there a couple of series on par with it, Sherlock or Fargo for example.

But I'm really looking forward to the third season, though I didn't really like how they handled the last finale in the very end, found it a bit pussy to
not let Will & Co. actually die (showrunner confirmed it in an interview). Would've been extremely brave, unique and much more fitting to just kill off the majority of the leading cast and carry on. Although much depends on how they deal with the events next season, could turn out to be a great choice of well, and I've got faith in the showrunners.

Btw I binge-watched the whole first two seasons in maybe three weeks a few months ago when I had holiday, after more than two back-to-back episodes the show's visual tone and score really starts to fuck with your head :D

Seconded.
I can fully understand that :D the show is extremely dark and this could easily screw with your head ;)

As for the series you have listed I found Sherlock very entertaining but Hannibal is way deeper, Fargo was great but couldn't keep up the pace of the great start IMO

I think the choice between True Detective and Hannibal is purely a personal choice as both sieres showed an elite quality when it comes to acting, dialogue and character development.

GoT is great and all but definitely overrated, which leave me with BB and The Wire. BB is my all time favorite show while, prepare to be shocked I have never watched The Wire.

You defenitely should :D

It's perhaps a bit difficult to get into it for the first 2-3 episodes, it's slow and at first the amount of, and relationships between characters can overwhelm you, but it's hands down the best show I ever watched. It's incredibly realistic and complex, with some truly great characters.

Where beastly fights like this happen, wtf level of raw brutality in anything I seen on tv.

god damn.
yup. dis gun be good

i want to see the asian dude go crzy though. he was badass last season in the church fight.

edit: and u can't help but love the actor and character of kai proctor. say what u want about banshee being deserving of being called a top show, but no question that procotor is one of the best and most complex and interesting villians in tv history. everything about him defies the typical villian cliche,

Lol yeah the gay Asian dude is hilarious, but doubt he will be involved much in upcoming events, he is more for the heist or robbery jobs they pull. Prolly gonna see him more when they try to rob the special forces psycho and his base filled with mercs /Marines platoon.
