First two episodes not bad.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1418667

Also Lioness season two is being aired, better than the first season in my opinion. And from what i saw in the last episode the prospect for even hotter lesbian sex scenes than the first season is pretty high. :santa:

And Yellowstone without Costner, just doesn't work out.
I've just started watching the new episodes and can't see why I liked this show in the first place. Too much time has passed for me to care anymore about any of the character or storyline. Boring.

the fact humans still alive after may deadly viruses and plagues proves otherwise.
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that AI or Aliens can beat mother nature on that, and create a virus or several types of viruses that have a total or near extinction mortality rate. So, good for the movies, but if we face something like 3 Body Problem, we would be pretty fast dead.

Did you watch the show / read books or just summary by chance?

In the show those aliens they cannot send anything physical to harm you because they are too far away. Everything they use is just to trick your eyes and mind. They can’t actually hurt anyone that’s why they use humans. And even their device they designed took them millions of years to reach earth.

if you noticed during show they are too busy surviving their harsh planet to deal with certain things. They explain how humans are evolving at faster rate than they did. Why waste time on creating a virus that humans might be immune to in the 10 million years it will take to send it to earth

The concept of virus may be foreign to them. We can’t assume what is common on earth is common to aliens.

And third, even if they could send a virus, how would they do that when they don’t have access to humans dna to experiment on? Again they are too far away.

And last with a virus is you risk the virus evolving. What may be harming humans can mutate to harm things you don’t want it to.

I won’t say anything else without spoiling the books or show because it will blow your mind what aliens are actually capable…and not capable of. If I were you I’d read the books or watch a YouTube summmary of the series if you don’t want to wait for Netflix to finish the series. It will blow your mind

Watched the first episode of Superman & Lois season 4, and was absolutely amazing. This show worth watching.

@Dostoevsky @GordoDeCentral

And whoever else I’ve talked books with on here before.

The new Netflix adaptation of 100 Years of Solitude is brilliant thus far. I’m only a couple episodes in, but I highly recommend it based on the first couple episodes.
You're gonna kill me. I'm totally into magic realism but I havent read that book lol. Would be a crime to watch it first instead of reading?

Personally, I’d likely go for the book first given that it was a seminal read from my adolescence, but I think I’ve grown less stringent on these things over the years. With the continued rise of “prestige” tv, and using series and miniseries to create what are essentially long form movies, some of the best adaptations of literature have come out in recent years. If you had plans to read the book in the very near-term, I would wait… otherwise, I don’t believe it would be such a crime. But to each their own.
