After all this time? Hope it's more closer to the Manga this time.
I just started this myself. Heard plenty of good things about it so far loving the 80s vibe but dont really know whats going on. Only finished the first episode.
Also started watching. The night of. Really well made and has great reviews but unless something drastic happens i feel like ive seen this type of show too many times.

I've seen all three last night and I love it. 
Pretty great animation & music while Guts is just badass (literally badass, not our member badass). Some of the monologues were brilliant, especially at the end of third ep iirc. It's insane what Japanese are capable of doing with the story line lol, it's always sick and great. I loved the three movies that were out and it seems these series will follow its footsteps.

But this is what makes it such a nostalgia piece... It's a really well-done ripoff. The entire season is like an amalgam of those 80s style films: Goonies, Stand By Me, ET, Flight of the Navigator...
I think, in part, what's interesting is to see how this style plays out in the long-format of a tv series.
