Coupling? The American version is one of the worst shows ever made, while the British one was one of the best shows of the 2000s.

Fincher did House of cards? I watched it, odd that detail escaped me.
I had no idea they were doing a remake already, I'm just on 3rd episode on the series, odd to hear its already being re-done in US. Though if someone gonna do its good its HBO, but as Deneb said, when the unique part is the visual look and style of the show, its kinda hard to re-do or copy.

Fincher is the executive producer and directed some episodes. So basically the same role he will have with Utopia.
HBO will throw a gigantic budget on it probably, so I wouldn't worry about the visuals and style.
One thing for sure though. No more some of the most extreme Brittish accents like that guy who got the Russian flue drug deal done. I mean I love them accents but it's so hard to understand what they are talking about sometimes.
