Two billion dollars to go to Mars. It could have been spent so much better here on Earth. Anyone disagree?
I don't buy that bullcrap argument. If you follow the logic of financial exclusivity, we would never support the arts, public parks, festivals, and inspirational culture as long as there are more deserving starving children in the world who should get that money.

No. Hedging our bets on Earth is ridiculous when there are a dozen things out there that could destroy life on Earth in an instant.

Plus, $2Bn is a fart in the wind.

Excess should be I agree the church not all but most lives in excess that's not how Jesus wanted it. I'm not just talking Catholic either all Christianity
