Home country, country of residence, country where your house is, isn't it just playing with words?
Country of residence is where you live.
Home country is where you're from.
The two are completely different terms.
So a place you have never been to might be "home" to you?
It was illustrated perfectly when Tony Soprano went to Italy. They call themselves Italian and will say Italy is their home, but when they actually go there all they can say is "fuck, THIS is Italy?". And they notice that they're not adapted to the country at all.
The same could happen to you guys. You'll see. It's not home.
I go to Libya almost every summer, its the only time where i really feel at home. I love my country, if it ever got better i'd definitely go and live there.
It is a delusion. Whether or not you're able to make it work is something else.
Thats funny, because people from here think the same way about a Zidane or a Benzema, they believe these people are delusional if they think they're really French. I'm not saying they're right, i'm just saying the concept of nationality is completely different here, i've experienced both cultures and can relate to both. There is no right and wrong, its a complex matter, in the end what matters most is what you feel.
Oh and welcome back Eddy, long time mate
