I prefer D'Agostino! I'm somehow convinced that this guy will give his hart on the pitch for our club, he will be one hell of a worker down that mid, not to mention that I like his football abilities in general..so Dago for me
At the same time, I'm glad this club did not bend over at any price -- including our youngsters -- to get at D'Agostino. As good of an addition as I think he'd be, there's a price for everyone that makes them unreasonable at some point.
And you know that HOW? Do you work for Fiorentina? They sold the icon of the fans G.Batistuta to one of arch rivals back in 2000. and you claim that there is no chance they would sell one year old rookie in their team?
D'ago will compliment Diego perfectly (and Gio). Neither would have to drop back out of position as often to receive the ball as the play is already being orchestrated up to them. Let them work their magic where they belong and what we spent 24.5m dollars on and let D'ago do what he does best in the backfield. Clockwork IMO.
As long as it takes the board to come up with a deal, I agree Swag at least they aren't taking the first number thrown at them. They want a balanced book, which is good, but may come back to haunt us if not careful. It's important because when we have the team we need and players at key positions then transfer season is going to go much more smoothly. We will be able to spend 30m on a Vidic, etc etc.
The proper answer would be...Fuck melo and Dago, buy a decent RB, LB, and CB, leave midfield as it is, wait till january if everything workd properly don't buy any player if we really need a good midfielder, then buy Dago or whoever they think it's good, our main problem is fucking defense
Yea,and when in december/january we'll be cca 20 points behind Inter people will whine about how we didn't bring anybody to boost our 3 man midfield creativity and how could we let Tiago to disapoint us 3 season in the row.....

Absolutely. We were a great defensive team before winter last year with Goals allowed in all competitions. I remember JCK saying something like that last year. If Ciro does well managing the defense and the team is working as a unit with an EXISTENT midfield things will be dramatically different. Sure we need new wingbacks but IMO not as bad as we need a midfielder that can link the defense with the offense. We didn't have that last year. It is not Diego's job to drop all the way back to get the ball, he needs freedom and someone to get him the ball to excel.
Gasperini(Udinese) on TV compared D'Agostino to X.Alonso and said he asked for ½ De Ceglie, ½ Giovinco, ½ Paolucci and ½ of Marchsio. He said that totalled 17m €.
