There was a time for this transfer, back then, when we were buying Tiagos and Almirons, now it is too late for that...
We are stacked up with average quality players we have overpaid and can be only used a depth player and a very promising youngster.
D Agostino is not wc and he is not the great step forward that will enhance our team so much that would eradicate our real issues...
If we use 2 DMs defending behind Diego, we need someone who can defend better. Because in case Sissoko cant play, neither of CZ, Marchisio, Tiago/Almiron or Poulsen cant defend like him.
Dagostino's offensive play would have been really useful right now, but now we got Diego. We could even use him as an extra squad player and thats why i didnt want us to sign Poulsen and save that place for a more useful player.
Secco is unable to sell Almiron and Tiago, with the money we paid for them, we could have 2 Dagostinos, right now, i dont think that we can achieve of straight swap of the two of them for him...

The most prudent way, to minimize damage is not sell one, keep one as depth and only buy top quality material from now, we are stacked up with mediocrity,

Fit in him in the right midfield and he'll do very well. D'Agostino to dictate and spread the play from the back, with Sissoko and Marchisio to cover and make the metres and Diego to create the chances.

You mean something like Pirlo, with Gattuso and Ambrosini covering and Kaka creating the chances?
The difference being that they had Seedorf too and played with 1 attacker.

He would be a useful player to have in a 3 man mid because Sissoko and Marchisio are great defensively but the complaint when they played was that they can't make build up play. With D'Agostino in there we would have a player who can dictate the tempo of our midfield and would be an alternative threat to Deigo. I mean Diego is great but a team can't pin all its hopes in a game on one player.

Alternative to D'Agostino though we can just play Camo in a 3 man mid and would not have to buy a player. Assuming camo stays fit next season

D'Agostino or not, Camo will have to play in a 3 man midfield next season because its going to be Diego behind the strikers.

Also if i'm not mistaken camo had a very good couple of seasons with Lippi in that position.

If we are going to stick to 4-4-2, a CM like D'Agostino with good defensive ability will be good (if the stastics really tell the truth, that is).
Although he directs the play in a 3-men-mid in Udinese, but it's freaking Udinese for crying out loud!
So if we are going to play a 3-men-mid, I doubt his creativity and offensive ability will be enough for a big team. Really, Sissoko-D'Agostino-Marchisio?! We won't win anything in Europe with such a midfield! In a 3-men-mid, I'd prefer someone with less defensive abitily than D'Agostino but with much greater creativity. I've never seen Fabregas defend a lot. And I don't believe if this D'Agostino guy is so good offensively and can also defend so well, why hasn't he replaced Pirlo in the Azzurri? Actually Lippi would rather use Aquilani and Montolivo ahead of him. The Azzurri also play a 3-men-mid.

We dont need another CM.
We need a hardcore backup DM as the lack of Sissoko proved.
Our defense need that at least. But considering that our new coach might come up with a new formation, we might not even need that either!

It is unwise to make any kind of assumptions, or even worse decisions atm.
These rumors are empty words and speculations.
Just because this player had just one good year, it doesnt mean that we are really interested on him. We dont even know who is going to start for us next season, neither the formation we are going to use.
There cant be a possible solid consideration of any player atm.
This interest is really overrated.

And to answer your question Ahmed, NO, i am not at all impressed by the one year revelations.
Because they have the unmistakable tendency to fade away in the next season.
And esp when the join a competitive team and put under pressure.
We cannot afford committing any more mistakes like that and overpay players for the seer fact of some current form. Form is temporary!
I think that Inter already committed that mistake and i hope they wil pay for it!
Hopefully, we will be proved wiser!
