The main question is, are the Udinese boardroom on PCP? Because I don't see the same D'Agostino as they do. Definately not a player worth 20 million € imo.

Udinese don't want to sell D'Ago, therefore Juve have to make the offer attractive enough to convince them to sell.

I'm sure Udinese wouldn't be disappointed if D'Ago is still their player next season.

The best offers come when you're willing to walk away from them. I hope I am hearing things correctly in what the board is willing to accept or not. Because as much as he would be a great addition, we have to be willing to walk away from this deal entirely with some of the demands Udinese are putting forth.

You also have to remember that Udinese do not need a want-away player who feels his CL ambitions were sabotaged by a greedy board either...

But the player wants to leave. He's coming out on a daily bases and says he wants to play for Juve next season and thats a HUGE plus to us.

They can't force the player to stay and they know they'll sell him no matter what this summer. So we shouldn't be the ones pushing hard for this deal. Our officials should give them an offer that suit us not them. The ball is in our side....

D'Ago is going to be determined to get into the Italy team, whatever club he is at, so I doubt he will sulk and under-perform if he isn't sold.

Yea I don't see udinese as desperate to sell him as he is to come to juve. Like Red said, I am sure they will not lose any sleep if they keep him. We gotta make the effort to sign him and we need to table an offer that suits their needs.

Just because we are juventus doesn't mean they are going to accept the first offer we make, they will look out for their interests first and foremost, not what is best for juve. I'd also hope ciro has blacklisted gio/marchisio so they don't go anywhere.

It would be nice to keep DC and get criscito back, confirm d'ago with canna and diego done plus aqua as a possibility for trez's departure. Not a bad mercato, would be better with a motta right back purchase or even santacroce.

I just want to know where all this money is coming from the fuel these media rumors

Friday is D’Ago Day
Monday 22 June, 2009
Juventus and Udinese will negotiate on Friday regarding the transfer of Gaetano D’Agostino.

The Friulani general director Sergio Gasparin said he is not planning to meet with Alessio Secco before then but hopes the deal will be solved by the weekend.

“We will meet Secco next Friday in Milan,” said Gasparin.

“That day we will have time to talk as there will be negotiations regarding co-ownership deals.

“Our board is preparing a meeting with Juventus for that day. The player has already expressed his desire to move to Turin and we will bear that in mind.”

Juventus cannot afford to spend too much cash on D’Agostino, although the Friulani are asking for two players – Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio – to be included in the negotiations.

The Old Lady is not willing to negotiate such terms and has offered the services of Michele Paolucci as well as Marco Marchionni and Sergio Almiron.

“I don’t want to talk about this specific subject,” noted Gasparin, but it seems clear that the Zebrette will have to lower their requests in order to let the deal go through.

He won't under-perform with them but he knows that this is a once in a life time opportunity to play in a top club. Udinese officials know that they won't get a much better offer for him than the one we're offering (from a top club). So everything suggest that we're in a better position than them in this deal.

It's the same situation that happened last season between milan and Ronaldinho. He wanted milan and city offered barca much more for he's services but at the end of the day milan didn't rise their offer for him and he was sold to them. They knew that he wanted them and they've played that card right.

Plus he is likely at the peak of his value for Udinese to sell him especially if they believe he's a one-hit wonder.
