He seems to be yeah, but he moves around in big areas and not just focused on inside the box as a natural CF is. But yeah he tends to the focus point of their attack still. But has the skills and style to be wide in defensive phase or build up, or big enough threat that he is very central in counters where he is most deadly. Essentially he is a Dybala type of SS/2nd forward, who is more used to playing in wide areas then our argie super star. This thread title is confusing for people who expect us to want him for AM playmaker role. Kid is a forward.

It's hard to tell his position. Palmeiras had 3 managers in the past 1 1/2 year and they all had different ideas about him, using him everywhere. He played some games as a CF, SS, AM and winger.
Right now I would say that he's more of a SS (when playing with Barrios) and winger (with Dudu).

So we potentially have to look at him as a Morata replacement if the Spaniard leaves.
I can dig this if we can sign a 'star' like Pjanic on top of that.Makes losing Morata less damaging.

Pretty much, except he doesnt have the size and box presence to replace Morata like that (two little guys playing upfront in him and Dybala would be weird hehe). He is also ideal for 4-3-3 as wide forward, but Dybala doesnt really work in such a set up.

Counter measure for your potential jinxing, third BJ avatar means the Holy trinity effect is upheld, less chance for this deal to be fucked, scientifically proven :agree:
