'Gabigol wants Juventus’

The agent of Gabriel Barbosa, also known as Gabigol, has confirmed his client wants to join Juventus.

The Bianconeri have been chasing the 19-year-old’s signature for several weeks and have had a bid for the player accepted by his current club Santos.

The fee is thought to be in the region of €20m, though any potential deal is likely to be complicated by the Brazilian’s ownership situation.

However, in a brief exchange with Tuttosport on Thursday afternoon, Wagner Ribeiro admitted that Gabigol sees his future in Serie A.

“Gabigol wants Juventus,” he said.
