I've seen some videos, this kid is classy, very elegant on the pitch, passes very well. He does reminds me of Redondo.

My concern is about his marking skills... he seems to be a little slow, and not strong enough.

But the most important thing is that he seems to be talented. But I'm not sure if he's ready to be an active part of the squad... but if they intend to loan Marrone, they probably are impressed with the kid.

I've always been confused about this kid, is he sort of a Pirlo-esque player? Because if so we really need him to come up in January because its evident that Pirlo needs a substitute,

Hopefully Pirlo can take him under his wing.

Forza Appelt.

from what I have seen of him and translated, he is very much like the role Pirlo is playing for us now, although less offensive, but that simply be what resende asked of him. Pirlo has tackled more in this season, actively hunted, hassled, made interceptions, much more than I have seen him do in the past. gabriel appears very comfortable on the ball, good vision, beautiful left foot, tenacious, and strong enough at a young age to mix it well with decent players in a top brazilian league...lots of promising information, and yes, i do assume he will be Pirlo's apprentice/challenger/substitute.

And he was 17 in that Youtube that got posted a couple times playing against Vasco, Flamengo and another top Brazilian team. When he played Ronaldinho's team he was actually asked to mark him by his coach and you can see him stopping him a few times in the video.

And then there's his passing and vision. And the fact that we want him with the 1st team at 18 years old. IMO, he's our most exciting youngster, by a decent margin. Seems like he's a no-brainer to play for us in a couple years, maybe even a regular.
