that part in bold, surely you mean that about Melo than Marchi? if absolutely nothing else at all, Marchi can at least follow instruction.
as for Marchisio being in the mould of Inler, IMO Melo is a lot closer in attributes to Inler, just very rough around the edges and with a worse temper.
no, you are mistaken, in understanding what I meant...its as is it is written, this season especially, when Melo was asked to play in a role natural to his talents, his positioning was brilliant, his interceptions were top drawer, and he consistently bossed the midfield, when others were flagging. Melo is no world beater, but he is always Present, always wanting to get involved, and only ever drifts out of a game if he gets sent off, which he did only once in a stupid way this season, which can be forgiven, given the rest of his input to the team.
Of course you can argue that marchisio followed instructions to 'DO NOT try to impose yourself on the midfield area. DO NOT fly into tackles like a spartiate. DO keep yourself out of the thick of things, watch the game go by around you'...if those were his instructions, i agree with you, he is very capable of following instructions.
I do think he could be useful as a box to box midfielder, but needs to work much harder on his tackling, reading of the game and passing, also physical strength, and heading...in all of which areas of technique and natural talent, my opinion is, that Melo is superior.
I am not knocking your opinion, and accept it as a different point of view. i am happy that others have more hope in marchisio than me, and hope i am proven wrong about him next season and he flies out the blocks with renewed vigour and has his best season yet.
