Tbh I dont see Tudor as a stable, safe option in the immediate term.
No matter his failings with Italy, Spalletti is an accomplished, experienced Serie A coach. This club tried to hire Gasperini who has a similar career trajectory. Might as well try for Spalletti. Maybe his firing from the Azzurri could be linked as well.

I guess where we disagree is on how much better of a job we think Spalletti will do over Tudor.
I believe Spalletti only offers a marginal increase in the probability of achieving that, but will cost a lot more in wages and eventual compensation for an inevitable firing. Not worth it to me. Tudor's contract ends in 2026. Spalletti's would be at least 2 to 3 years long.
I'd rather we try to achieve our objectives at a lower cost and hopefully be more ambitious with our hiring next summer.
EDIT: Maybe I'm a bit too optimistic on Tudor's coaching abilities.
