Tbh I dont see Tudor as a stable, safe option in the immediate term.

No matter his failings with Italy, Spalletti is an accomplished, experienced Serie A coach. This club tried to hire Gasperini who has a similar career trajectory. Might as well try for Spalletti. Maybe his firing from the Azzurri could be linked as well.

With Tudor or Spalletti, our objective will remain the same - a top 4 finish and making the CL Ro16.

I guess where we disagree is on how much better of a job we think Spalletti will do over Tudor.

I believe Spalletti only offers a marginal increase in the probability of achieving that, but will cost a lot more in wages and eventual compensation for an inevitable firing. Not worth it to me. Tudor's contract ends in 2026. Spalletti's would be at least 2 to 3 years long.

I'd rather we try to achieve our objectives at a lower cost and hopefully be more ambitious with our hiring next summer.

EDIT: Maybe I'm a bit too optimistic on Tudor's coaching abilities.

I`d still take it though. I agree Spalletti isnt and shouldnt be our best option but we have 2 scenarios
Scenario 1: Tudor in charge and we do or do not get top 4 while we dont compete for the title.
Scenario 2: Quite unknown honestly. It could go up to Scudetto and down to Europa League.

I rather take the unknown than see another season of battling for top 4 like a Lazio or something. I mean - I want Juve to be the team in Italy or at least fight for it. These past seasons were just horrible to watch.

I remember the whole thing was Spaletti had a deal with us but ADL wouldn't let him, so he went to the Italy job as cover while his Napoli contract ran down. Everybody was 100% sure about it...and now nothing.

Spalletti had some good teams who played good football over the years but is this really a guy you pull into a potential crisis situation? I feel like whenever things get tough with him he falls apart, we need someone the complete opposite.

I won’t even look at all of his failings in the past outside of that one wonder season with Napoli where everything was aligned for them to win, but suddenly going for Spaletti now after he just got sacked by Italy midway through WC qualifiers due to poor results would just be more proof of the desperation and incompetence at the top of the club, which wouldn’t surprise me, but i do want to believe that the revamped management is smarter than this.

In my view he won’t have us punching above our weight, and even more so will likely create more tensions within the fanbase by not getting any leeway and will get slammed by most fans at the first poor result, along with the fact he will inevitably struggle with this squad…

Next for him is a Saudi club or Fiorentina/Tottenham level if he is lucky.
