I'd take Gasperini over Conte tbh. Conte had an all-time squad with us and he still found something to bitch about, not to mention his European record. We had Tevez, Llorente, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba, Lichsteiner, BBC and prime Buffon and couldn't get out of our group.

How much of Atalanta's success was due to Gasperini? The real brains of their operation was Giovanni Sartori (who is now doing incredible work at Bologna) & more recently Tony D'Amico.

I just hope he doesn't end up a failed experiment like Sarri. The one positive is there are no senatori and big ego's in this squad as pointed above. It's a very young squad by JJ standards so hope to see some improvement in our football + results. He's 67. I hope he has the energy and motivation to succeed in what will be his last big gig.
