This season Conte turned a last year 10th placed team into a Scudetto winner whereas Gasp's Atalanta turned hot and cold at the decisive moments of the Scudetto race. Conte is better than Gasp in terms of consistency. The only reason we settle for Gasp is because Conte stays at Napoli.

As revealed yesterday evening, a call from #Juventus for Gian Piero #Gasperini has arrived. #ASRoma thinks he has taken all the right steps and is confident in the definitive yes from Gasp, who is reflecting and still has to sign the resolution with #Atalanta#calciomercato

- - - Updated - - -

It is useless to hide that the dream of #Gasperini would be, since he started coaching, to one day lead the #Juventus as declared by the interested party himself several times in the past. If the black and whites sink, the draft agreement found with the #ASRoma (three-year contract of 5M per year + bonus) could really creak. The new management #Juve is in composition and if Turin wants it they must speed up in the next few hours and go beyond yesterday's exploratory call… #calciomercato

I'd take Gasperini over Conte tbh. Conte had an all-time squad with us and he still found something to bitch about, not to mention his European record. We had Tevez, Llorente, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Pogba, Lichsteiner, BBC and prime Buffon and couldn't get out of our group.

How much of Atalanta's success was due to Gasperini? The real brains of their operation was Giovanni Sartori (who is now doing incredible work at Bologna) & more recently Tony D'Amico.

It is really embarrassing that our Plan A, B, and C was Antonio Conte, with no backup plan.

Now we are scrambling for Gasperini and competing with Roma.

Imagine what Tudor is thinking. Imagine what the playing group are thinking.

We look like a bunch of fucking wankers.

Gasp can not handle egos but I guess that ain't an issue at the moment (besides vlahobitch who's probably/ hopefully on the way out) he may be able to make Lloyd kelly and co look somewhat a footballer I still think we're not even getting him

For the first time in so fkin long I'm not expecting shit from upcoming season never had this feeling for a new season even during our previous banter era or jihad lords second stint although it may change if they give Igor another run or somehow manage to get good ebening fella

I just hope he doesn't end up a failed experiment like Sarri. The one positive is there are no senatori and big ego's in this squad as pointed above. It's a very young squad by JJ standards so hope to see some improvement in our football + results. He's 67. I hope he has the energy and motivation to succeed in what will be his last big gig.
