Winning seven times in a row.. it was a matter of time. Dont get me wrong Blanc did a great job, but lets not at the same time take it like some massive achievement. They were contenders. Lyon really have themselfs to blame as they lost 4 of their home ties which they should have easily won. Blanc will be a good addition but I fear a deschamp deja vu.

Ok im proberly misunderstood here. Let me clarify I was a fan of deschamp as a coach I was upset to see him go and what I mean by deja vu is down to the circumstances in which he left. I dont believe deschamps did the wrong thing rather it was the board sticking there fingers where it didnt belong. Deschamps did the right thing and considering circumstances under a different board i wouldnt mind still having him back. His better than zach, ciro and be brave to say than ranieri too..

why people chose Prandelli ahead of Benitez is beyond me.

let's be honest here before Benitez pool weren't excalty power houses in CL for a long time and he made them a team to be feared in the last decade in CL.

and with valenica he won league titles with an underdog againt 2 giants. plus a UEFA cup. his shit transfers aside the guy knows how to win titles both league and cups, and that makes him a world class manager.

I dont think it is possibile unfortunately there will always be meddling, maybe blanc and co will learn if we fall out of the cl spot. Bringing in a big name may mean they might push back knowing its under control. Young coaches have a little more fire unless of course they are inexperienced like ciro and have love for there club in which case they are easy target. Ive already named my list of who I would like. I personally think pellegrini would be a great addition if he does leave real. His used to pressure but at the same time a humble and tactical magician. He likes keeping close to his players. Prandelli and gasperini may be unproven but it wouldnt take them long to adapt. Benitez I feel could and could not work. Pelligrini will blend in and do his job his not afraid to play what he believes will work. Like for example when marca put a crusade against him for not putting benzema as much, yet he stuck with higuain who we all know is doing the job. Marca hasnt stopped at that and I feel the press will oust him out. His under pressure and proberly will lose his spot but I think his trying to keep everyone happy yet sticking to his principles. A balance. Thats my opinion anyway.

The bad side of benitez and I know he will be an easy prey for mourinho is that he gets in squabbles a lot, its one of the reasons that liverpool fans felt last season he ended up blewing their chance of winning the league. That has never stopped as we saw his recent rift with allardyce.

That stats alone don't tell the whole story really. Both Cagliari and genoa just have the league games to worry about. Fiorentina are playing in 3 fronts right now (CL, coppa italia and the league). So its not a surprise that they're dropping many points because of that.

Prandelli is good (he's not a god) but still he'd be good enough for a top team IMO. All these names that are mentioned up there are good enough for the job....

no the bad side of benitez is he had too much average players for squad depth, which meant if Alonso, Torres, Owen or Gerrerd were injured the team fell apart, plus his constant rotations hurt consistency.

the problem with Benitez is that since his CL win (which i ahve to say,even an ardent Benitez supporter will admit was some incredible amount of luck on their way to the final) he HAS been given teh funds to challenge for a title,he has had the backing to sign the players he wants,he has afree reign at Liverpool and they only appear to be going backwards

some might say it is that he is stagnating there,maybe his sides bad lick at only losing 2 games all season last year and still noy winning the title has deflated them,others will say that losing Alonso will take time to recover from

for em the problem lies with Benitez,he wants to have 2-3 TOP quality players to build his team around,for better or worse of a system, but when those guys are not there,or not performing,he has assembled a supporting cast of triers...guys who have not got the skill,passion or heart to lift the team
