I am happy that Benitez has not been given the hotseat...Del Neri will do less damage, perhaps even, he will, along with Marotta's help, push us back to Inter's main challenger...

YES...i would have preferred Capello, Lippi, Hiddink, Wenger, Hitzfeld, fuck, even Hodgson...but I am not as appalled by Del Neri's appointment as many of you, especially as I have faith in Marotta, and also, I have faith that Del Neri will finally unleash the potential of Giovinco, and also, demand Marotta finds him a decent replacement for Camo...again, as I asked before, what formation were we playing when we had Zidane????

For the moment i dont really care about which players we'll get to the next season if our head coach is Del fucking Neri.

But hey! One good thing is if we can win as many home matches next season as Del Neri have managed to do with Doria. (13 wins, 6 draws, 0 loss).

But if he's getting announced as our new head coach, we cant really do anything to give the man a chance.....

i will give the man a chance if true, i guess he knows how to manage ego's even lippi was shite at inter before joining us no?

Lippi was at Juve before going to Inter. And returning to Juve. He was already a winner - and even he couldnt save Inter then. So imagine Del Neri with this Juve.

During the Zidane days we played mostly 3-5-2
with what players??? And could we fit such a formation with Diego??? Because I see him as a lesser Zidane...as in...he rarely releases or loses the ball unless he has decent options. When he has no decent options, as Zidane would in this season's Juve, he would lose the ball...

I do not recall at all, Zidane playing in front of anything less than 4 defenders. With one defensive mid, two wingers and two attackers nearby...have i merely altered my memory to make it fit into the now???

We don't need top 3... We want the scudetto. :(
Name me a coach that could get that next year? We need to jump into being the 2nd best team next season and the we can be real contender again.

I want the Scudetto as much as the next man, but lets be realistic. Inter squad is far far superior this term, and if the difference should be lowered we should have an excellent mercato and Mourinho should take Maicon an another guy with him to real.

I would rather have had Prandelli or Blanc, or another guy. Now we got Del Neri, and then I'm gonna look at the bright side of that, and support him until he is not here anymore.

Finally, we should get our organization in place, otherwise no manager can make a difference.

Montero-Ferrara-Iuliano

Di Livio-----------------------Pessoto

Deshamps-Davids

Zidane

Inzaghi---Del Piero

Something like that. And Zidane and Diego...not much similarity between them at all.

Pessotto was a left back, never a left winger... Di Livio was more naturally a right winger, who doubled up as a right wing-back...so basically, you are saying we played 4-4-2...with Zidane as a offensive centrally based midfielder?

Hmmm well..I'm neither optimistic nor pessimistic...I will just wait and see...but i'm really surprised why everyone here is criticizing Del Neri even before he starts working...though everybody was extremely happy with the zero-experienced Ferrara....I really don't know on what basis do people here judge coaches...The guy qualified to the CL with a much less team than ours...a thing we were not able to do...I would like to hint out for our legendary Coach lippi...what was lippi before being assigned to Juve ? his greatest achievement was leading Napoli to the UEFA Cup !! ...I agree that it'd have been better if we assigned an already GOOD coach rather than experimenting again..but I also believe that the experiment could succeed..let's just support the guy..he now holds the Name of JUVENTUS...until he shows he do not deserve that support...and the situation won't be worse anyway

I think Sampdoria done pretty good , win 1-0 vs Inter at home and draw 0-0 away to Inter.

Beat Roma 1-2 at Olimpico to make Inter campione Serie A.
And for now this is absolutely upgrade from either Ferrara or Zaccheroni.

And with Marotta arrival this mean they don't need to adapt much. And I am really exciting about our mercato.

Next season must be better than this season.

It's Del Neri.

Marotta:

“Will Del Neri follow me to Turin? Yes, he will.”

“But he has to talk to [Sampdoria president Riccardo] Garrone first.”

“Relax, he is ready for Juve.”

That's not a winger position, it's a fullback. Exactly what players like Di Livio, Torriceli, Cafu, Candella, etc. were...and Birindelli, Pesotto, etc. It's not a position Camoranesi or Nedved can cover. Huge stamina, good defensively and offensively.

I'm saying we played 3 man at the back, 2 wide players, 2 holding midfielders and Zidane behind the attackers. If we were going to play something like that we would need players like Kolarov and Vargas perhaps...or De Ceglie. :p

Though I have memory of us playing a 4-4-2 with Zidane as well.

Pessoto-Ferrara-Montero-Iauliano

Conte/Di Livio-Deshamps-Zidane-Davids

Which transformed into a 4-3-1-2. But it was easy when you had players like that in your team.

Did Del Neri's Atalanta play 4-2-3-1?

I know he's mainly known as a 4-4-2 man though
im not sure, i thought he played 4-4-2 at atalanta as well

I dont mind Marotta..but Del neri?:sergio:
oh niki :p

all im going to say is i'm going to write del neri off just yet, and it could have been a lot worse i.e. allegri. Maybe im just trying to clutch onto optimism over the negatives of this season.

Well... WTF:. Forza Del Neri....

Hope he can do well with us, BiancoNERI....

And please do not sell Diego.. IT is not imposible to play him in a 4-4-2..
He can play close to the striker, or under him and transforming the formation to a 4-2-3-1, with the wingers moving up.. Or just a 4-4-1-1 with very attacking winger, witch again can become a 4-2-3-1... DAMIT..
